“We just want to build on it,” declared a delighted Kofi Appiah in the wake of K Muni & ND finishing third overall in last Friday night's Late Late Late Eurosong, with their popular rap ‘Down in the Rain’.
Winners Wild Youth will perform ‘We Are One’ in the first semi-final of the 67th Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool on Tuesday, May 9, however, following their accomplished performance Kofi and Nevlonne Dampare certainly look to have a bright future ahead of them in the music industry.
“University is still a priority right now, but the plan for this year is to get signed by a record label, and keep ourselves out there,” revealed Kofi.
K Muni & ND were the last to perform in a line up that included the winners along with Leila Jane, ADGY, Public Image Limited and CONNOLLY for the chance to represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Kofi described entering and performing in Eurosong as an unforgettable experience. “It was surreal from day one. It was hectic. We put a lot of planning into how the performance was staged.”
Last year, Ukraine won the contest with Kalush Orchestra but was deemed unable to host this year's event because of the Russian invasion.
As the UK came second, it took over responsibility for organising the event before Liverpool was revealed as the host city.
