A new venue has been announced for the 2023 Longford Agricultural Show & Country Fair.
The event takes place this year on Sunday, July 2 on the lands of Gerry Hagan, Treanlawn, Killoe, Co. Longford N39 WK53 beside the idyllic village of Ennybegs.
This farm was the site of the very successful Longford Ploughing in 2010, which saw over 6000 people attend, and the Longford Agricultural Show are looking forward to an equally successful day. The farm is ideally located with ease of access and loads of parking available.
Show Secretary Bernie Whyte said Gerry Hagan has 'an infectious interest in all things community and county and is a very hard worker'.
She added, “Naturally the Show committee are looking forward to bringing you the show of shows from this new venue. We would welcome new committee members, young and old, to join up and be part of this great day out in Longford.
“Without a doubt the cost of putting on this event is huge and we appeal to our loyal sponsors to continue with their support and we earnestly ask businesses and new sponsors to please come on board and support your County Show in whatever way you can.”
