Despite the chilly sub zero temperatures, there was a great atmosphere and a fine attendance at McGann Park, Kenagh on Monday evening as Longford Operation Transformation Leader Thomas Hynes was present to lead a walk as part of the Ireland Lights Up initiative.

The RTÉ television cameras were on site to capture the occasion as they continue to follow Granard native Thomas Hynes on his 2023 Operation Transformation journey. READ MORE BELOW PHOTO

Kenagh GAA’s walking track around McGann Park will be lit up every Monday evening from 7-8pm over the next number of weeks.

The target for the club is to walk 4000 kilometres in six weeks. All you need to do is download the “MyLife” app and register with Kenagh GAA.
