This particular award recognises those who have made a lasting impact through areas such as improving member services, supporting financial inclusion, driving growth or inspiring colleagues.

At the time of her finalist announcement, the branch described Marie as a “cornerstone of the Credit Union for more than 40 years”, adding that there was “no one more deserving” of the nomination.

Despite missing out on a win, the occasion was described as a “great night” by Granard CU.

“Great night had by all at the Credit Union Awards! Unfortunately we didn't come home with any awards from the night, but we came back with some fantastic memories!”
