The school praised the students for having demonstrated “superb leadership qualities as Senior team members over the last couple of years.”

JJ, the school said, played a vital role in defence as the Senior boys football team captured the 2025 North Leinster title, while Sarah Jane had left Ardscoil Phádraig with Leinster medals from both the U16 and Senior grades, having been a commanding presence at full-back throughout both campaigns.

Both students have also continued their sporting careers beyond school with Sarah Jane continuing to play a pivotal role for Ballymore LGFA and JJ now lining out for the Abbeylara GAA Senior side.

Ardscoil Phádraig said they had no doubt that further success awaited both players in the not too distant future and wished the students “every success in all of their future endeavours, both on and off the field of play”.
