New Sinn Féin Comhairle Ceantair Chair for Longford-Westmeath Barry Campion with party leader Mary Lou McDonald
The Sinn Féin Comhairle Ceantair for Longford-Westmeath has appointed Barry Campion as Cathaoirleach. Mr Campion succeeds Johnnie Creagh, who will remain on the board as Leas Cathaoirleach.
Mr Campion is known in the Longford-Westmeath constituency for his activism on progressive issues and as the second Sinn Féin candidate in the 2024 General Election alongside Sorca Clarke.
