Warnock’s 2,700 votes will be distributed during Count 12 and Boxer Moran is now 776 votes shy of the 10,315 quota

Longford Independent candidate Gerry Warnock has exited the Longford Westmeath General Election 2024 race following Count 11.

Warnock’s 2,700 votes will be distributed during Count 12 and it will be very interesting to see where his votes go particularly since there are three Longford based candidates still standing. 

Elected: Peter Burke (FG)

Twelve candidates eliminated;

Seven candidates remain with 4 seats still to filled

Kevin 'Boxer' Moran, Independent (+470) 9,539

Robert Troy, Fianna Fáil (+293) 9,360

Sorca Clarke, Sinn Féin (+322) 8,315

Micheál Carrigy, Fine Gael (+117) 8,062

Joe Flaherty, Fianna Fáil (+88) 5,693

Paul Hogan, Independent Ireland (+496) 4,033

Barry Campion, Sinn Féin (+116) 2,783

Boxer is now 776 votes shy of the 10,315 quota.
