As expected the Longford ladies proved far too strong for Carlow as they cruised to a very easy win in the National League Division 4 semi-final at the Kinnity grounds, Co Offaly on Saturday.

It was all over as a contest at half-time, at which stage Longford had built up a commanding 2-11 to 1-2 lead with Emer Heaney and Sarah Tierney scoring the goals.
And the one-way traffic continued on the changeover as Longford added a further 3-8 to their most emphatic tally.
Michelle Farrell (2) and Aisling Reynolds got the goals in the second half and James Daly’s side can now look forward to the National League Division 4 Final against Wicklow or Fermanagh on Sunday April 30 in their quest for promotion.
