Wins in Leinster for Ballymahon VS, Moyne CS and Cnoc Mhuire, Granard

Three Co Longford schools recorded wins in their opening round games in the Top Oil North Leinster Post-Primary Schools Senior Football Championships over the last couple of days.

 

 

Moyne Community School were first into action when they took on Co Offaly opponents Killina Presentation Secondary School in the Leinster ‘C’ competition at the Dromard grounds on Thursday and emerged victorious in emphatic fashion on a 2-13 to 1-5 scoreline.

Ballymahon Vocational School got the better of St Peter’s Dunboyne (Meath) by 2-10 to 1-7 in the North Leinster ‘B’ Championship clash at the Ardagh grounds on Friday and also in action in the same competition were Cnoc Mhuire, Granard who won by 2-11 to 0-13 away to O’Carolan College, Nobber (Meath).
