Longford sharpshooter Sean McCormack ended up as the joint top scorer in the entire 2013 National Football League along with Dublin star Bernard Brogan. McCormack clocked up a total of 4 goals and 32 points from seven league games which was only eventually equalled by Brogan in the Division 1 League Final.
It was a tremendous achievement by Sean, considering the run of disappointing results (seven defeats) Longford had in Division 2 this season, and he now shares the same distinction as his fellow Killoe clubman John ‘Speedy’ McCormack who was top scorer in the National Football League season of 1985/86.
