McCormack named joint NFL top scorer

Longford sharpshooter Sean McCormack ended up as the joint top scorer in the entire 2013 National Football League along with Dublin star Bernard Brogan. McCormack clocked up a total of 4 goals and 32 points from seven league games which was only eventually equalled by Brogan in the Division 1 League Final.

It was a tremendous achievement by Sean, considering the run of disappointing results (seven defeats) Longford had in Division 2 this season, and he now shares the same distinction as his fellow Killoe clubman John ‘Speedy’ McCormack who was top scorer in the National Football League season of 1985/86.
