Jack Sheedy has told the Longford Leader that it was his own decision to step down from his position as manager of the Longford GAA team. The Dubliner spoke to the Leader after he stepped down last week.
“I can honestly say I have no regrets at all,” he added. He acknowledged that there were some low points during his tenure but he focused on the positives. “There were plenty of highs too. Promotion this year and of course there was the fantastic occasion we had up in Derry last year.
“Also us beating Offaly last year and in the first round of the Championship this year are times I take great satisfaction from.”
