The Ladies Football County Finals were played at Pearse Park on Sunday last with Killoe scoring a last gasp point to beat Ballymore 1-12 to 2-8 in the senior championship decider. There was late drama also in the Intermediate Championship ‘A’ final with Colmcille overcoming the challenge of Carrickedmond 4-10 to 3-9 while Rathcline got the better of St. Helen’s, Drumlish in the Junior Championship ‘A’ final, winning by 3-10 to 2-7. Moydow Harpers win the Junior Football Championship title
Moydow Harpers won the County Junior Football Championship title for the first time in 25 years when they proved too strong for Shroid Slashers, winning by 2-13 to 0-6 in the final at Pearse Park on Saturday evening last. Full report and pictures in this week’s Longford Leader.
