There is a new structure in the 2011 All County Football League with the previous 16 teams format now split into two sections which are as follows:
Division 1A: Killoe Young Emmets, Longford Slashers, Dromard, Mullinalaghta St. Columba’s, Cashel, Ardagh St. Patrick’s, Fr. Manning Gaels, Sean Connolly’s
Division 2A: Abbeylara, Colmcille, Carrickedmond, Clonguish, Mostrim, Ballymahon, Rathcline, Granard St. Mary’s
Double Round – 14 Games
2011 All County League Division 1A/1B to start on March 19/20.
Johnny Skelly Cup - Winner of each Section play-off for the Division 1 title
Leader Cup – Division 1 Finalists go into Leader Cup semi-finals with home venue
Quarter-Finals: Teams 2, 3 from each Section
A - Team 2 in 1A (home venue) v Team 3 in 1B
B - Team 2 in 1B (home venue) v Team 3 in 1A
Semi-Finals: Winner of Section 1A v Winner B
Winner of Section 1B v Winner A
Final at neutral venue
2011 League Relegation
5 teams to be relegated. Bottom two teams in each Section are relegated to Division 2 plus play-off involving 3rd last teams in each Section with loser being relegated and winner playing 2nd placed team in Division 2. The loser of this game will play in Division 2 in 2012.
From 2012 onwards Division 1 will consist of 12 Teams
Single Round – 11 games
2011 Division 2 (7 Teams)
Ballymore, Young Grattans, Kenagh, Legan Sarsfields, Moydow Harpers, Killashee St. Brigids, Forgney St. Munis. Shroid Slashers have decided not to play in Division 2 this season but will compete in the subsidiary leagues.
Double Round – 12 Teams
Division 2 Cup - Winner of Division 2 League
Michael Moran Cup – Top 2 teams play in Division 2 Final
Winner of Division 2 League promoted to Division 1 for 2012. Second placed team in Division 2 plays loser of 5th last placed team in Division 1 in promotion/relegation play-off.
Last 5 placed teams in Division 2 relegated to Division 3 for 2012
From 2012 onwards Division 2 will consist of 6 Teams
Double Round – 10 games
From 2012 onwards Division 3 will consist of 6 Teams Double Round – 10 games
