Despite the six point defeat against Kildare at Emmet Park on Sunday last, the Longford ladies can still qualify for the Lidl National Football League Division 3B semi-finals.

Brian Noonan’s side make the long trip down south on Sunday to take on Wexford in the remaining 3B group game at Hollymount, Shelmaliers GAA club grounds, throw-in 2pm.

It's a crunch clash for both counties as last year’s All-Ireland Intermediate runners-up Wexford can reach the last four should they win while at least a draw will suffice for Longford who won away against Wicklow in the opening round.

The County girls fielded without key players Leanne Keegan and Grace Shannon in the Round 2 fixture at home to Kildare last weekend.

LONGFORD (v Kildare):  Ruth Jones; Shauna McCormack, Emer O’Brien, Emma Doris; Clare Farrell, Katie Crawford, Ailish Noonan; Mairead Victory, Michelle Farrell (1-2); Lauren McGuire, Michelle Noonan, Sarah Shannon (0-2); Clodagh Lohan (1-0), Emer Heaney, Louise Monaghan (0-1).

Subs used:- Aisling Cosgrove, Niamh Brady, Ciara Mulligan, Karen McLoughlin.
