After just one season in charge, Brian Farrell had made the decision to step down from the position of Longford ladies football manager.

Brian from the St Brigid’s Gaels Ardagh club guided the county girls to the TG4 All-Ireland Junior Championship semi-final last season against the eventual title winners Louth.

Farrell was subsequently reappointed but he has now vacated the post as the search is on for a new Longford ladies football manager in the countdown to the opening fixture in Division 4 of the 2026 Lidl National League at home to Leitrim on Sunday January 18th.
