A stoppage time Daniel Reynolds point earned Sean Connolly’s a draw in the Intermediate Football Championship Round 1 game against St Brigid’s Killashee at Michael Fay Park on Sunday last.

Sean Connolly’s . . . 0-12    St Brigid’s Killashee . . . 1-9

It was a positive start for the Ballinalee boys in their fierce desire to finally win the Gerry Hennessy Cup, considering the most notable absence of county midfielder Daire Duggan.

Connolly's substitutes Evan Tully and Eugene Murtagh combined in the build up for a stoppage time Daniel Reynolds equaliser to save their side from a disappointing defeat.

Killashee will be disappointed as they kicked 14 wides throughout the game and had multiple chances to get the win.

Next up for St Brigid’s is a tough test against Ardagh Moydow on Friday night whereas Connolly’s take on Grattan Óg on Sunday.
