2025 Longford GAA Club Championships Draws on Monday night

The draws for the 2025 Longford GAA Championships will be made at the County Board meeting in Aras Ui Bhriain, Glennon Brothers Pearse Park this Monday night, 8pm. 

12 clubs will compete for the Peter Hanley Senior Football Championship title, including last year’s Intermediate winners Fr Manning Gaels, with the top four teams in each group qualifying for the quarter-finals: 1 v 4 & 2 v 3. 

The bottom two teams in the groups will battle it out in the round-robin relegation play-offs with TWO clubs demoted to the 2026 Intermediate Championship. 

2025 Peter Hanley Motors Senior Football Championship

2024 finalists Abbeylara and Colmcille and the beaten semi-finalists, Killoe and Mullinalaghta, will be seeded. 

The 12 clubs competing in the 2025 Connolly Cup are as follows: 

Abbeylara, Colmcille, Killoe Emmet Og, Mullinalaghta St Columba’s, Rathcline, Fr Manning Gaels, St Mary’s Granard, Mostrim, Clonguish, Dromard, Longford Slashers and Carrickedmond. 

2025 Senior Hurling Championship

Clonguish Gaels, Longford Slashers and Wolfe Tones Mostrim will compete as usual in the group stage (round-robin) for the Duignan Cup with the top two teams qualifying for the 2025 Senior Hurling Championship Final. 

 2025 Mulleady Group Intermediate Football Championship

Ardagh Moydow, Ballymahon, Ballymore, Cashel, Kenagh, Sean Connolly’s, St Brigid’s Killashee and last year’s Junior ‘A’ winners Young Grattans will compete for the 2025 Intermediate Championship title.

The teams will be divided into two groups of four (round-robin) with the top two teams in each section making it through to the semi-finals in the quest for Hennessy Cup glory.   

The bottom team in the relegation play-offs (round-robin) involving the non-qualifiers will be relegated to the 2026 Junior ‘A’ Championship.  

2025 Rustic Inn Junior ‘A’ Football Championship 

The solely Junior club in the 2025 Junior ‘A’ Football Championship are Legan Sarsfields and they will be joined by the second strings from Clonguish, Colmcille, Killoe Emmet Og and Longford Slashers. 

The top two teams in the group stage (round-robin) qualify for the county final. 

There are separate Junior ‘B’ and ‘C’ Championships.
