Clonguish . . . 4-7 Killoe . . . 2-9
Clonguish advanced to the LGFA Senior championship final with four points to spare over Killoe at Allen Park on Sunday morning last.
Beaten finalists in 2022 and 2023, Clonguish were strong favourites against a young Killoe team but David Tiernan’s side were made to work hard for their win.
Clonguish led by 4-4 to 1-3 at the break but Killoe turned in an excellent second half, outscoring their opponents by 1-6 to 0-3.

Killoe worked extremely hard, particularly in defence, in the second period.
At the start of the championship, Clonguish were regarded as the team best placed to stop the dominance of Longford Slashers.

However, if they are to give Slashers a proper test in the final at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Saturday October 5 the girls in green know they must improve on their second half display.
This performance will give Killoe great optimism facing into the challenge of Carrickedmond in the Intermediate championship final.
