Longford . . . 2-11 Meath . . . 1-11
The reward for Pat Tiernan’s talented side is a place in the top flight provincial title decider against Kildare on Wednesday May 17 (venue tbc).
The maxim 'goals win matches' was ably demonstrated at the conclusion of a thrilling contest against Meath with Anna Hayden and Sian Gallagher getting the crucial scores in the second half. The sides were all square at the break, 0-5 to 1-2.
