Ryanair this week announced that due to increasing demand amongst the business and working community they have introduced new evening services on their popular London Stansted service for the summer season.
Starting April 26th Ryanair will add additional new evening time departures from London Stansted every Friday and Sunday up until the end of October. The new services will add an additional 9,000 new seats this summer from the London Stansted market and, following the recent announcement of an additional 23,000 seats on their Luton service this year, this brings in total over 30,000 new seats between London and the west of Ireland in 2013.
Commenting on the news, Donal Healy, Marketing Manager, at Ireland West Airport Knock said: “We are delighted Ryanair have responded to passenger demand from both the region and the UK by introducing new additional evening services to and from London Stansted. We are seeing increasing numbers, using in particular, our London services for commuting and work purposes in the UK and have had many requests for a later evening service from London to allow for extended weekends with their families.
“Likewise, these new services will be a boost for businesses in the region with the early morning Stansted departure and new evening departure facilitating a day return for those looking to do business in London and indeed the West and North West of Ireland.”
Ryanair will operate twice daily flights on Fridays and Sundays from April 26th to October 25th 2013. Flights on Fridays will depart Ireland West Airport Knock at 09:55am and 17:55pm and depart Stansted at 08:00am and 16:00pm respectively. On Sundays flights will depart Ireland West Airport Knock at 12:10pm and 16:40pm and depart Stansted at 10:15am and 14:45pm respectively.
