Laura Woods, TV3 presenter, David Wallace, former Irish international rugby player and Melanie Nocher, retired Olympic Swimmer, were on hand to launch Swim Ireland’s third ‘Swim for a Mile Challenge’ in the National Aquatic Centre this week.
The challenge which is open to swimmers of all abilities involves 12 weeks of training to reach the ultimate goal of swimming a mile and will take place in 12 pools nationwide in April. Swim Ireland provide access to free coaching clinics, on-line training support and advice from qualified Swim Ireland coaches.
