Pupils of Fardromin National School have planted a tree in Ballinamuck's Peace Garden
The Fardromin Reunion Committee planted a tree in Ballinamuck's Peace Garden on Tuesday, October 28 alongside a plaque which reads: “Dedicated to the memory of all past pupils & teachers of Fardromin N.S.”
Having had a big reunion in 2022, this event was the last planned gathering to complete their commemoration.

With lots of dedication and organisation leading up to the event, the new tree will acknowledge those who have been part of the community, and still are through their shared pasts.
“Cissie Bohan, our committee's Honorary President, who was the inspiration behind the school reunion project and suggested planting this tree. She is an amazing lady,” said former school member, Catherine Carthy. She added that committee member Sean Lennon came after the group photo.

Copies of the 'Commemorative Book' are still available in local shops and from committee members.
