On Monday, October 13, Ballinamuck-Drumlish Community First Responders held a training session in conjunction with National “Restart a Heart Day.”
The event took place in Ballinamuck National School, and was also a celebration the first anniversary as Responders
Colleagues from North Longford First Responders joined the event, namely Lisryan, Aughnacliffe, Ballinalee, Clonbroney and Longford Civil Defence. The group are now active with the National Ambulance Service.

It has been over a year and they are continuous and actively responding to emergency text messages from the Ambulance Service for medical emergencies in our parishes and surroundings areas.
There was also a presentation to the Lawlor Family and Donnelly Family, who both had done outstanding fundraising for the groups in recent months. The cheque added up to €14,100.
CPR training is always ongoing within the Ballinamuck-Drumlish Community First Responders group and they are always welcoming new members.
The First Responders' provide lifesaving care before NAS arrive, and are an integral part of any community.

The Responders also have events running like 'Live Longer and Prosper' in the Men's Shed throughout the October and November months.
