Margaret McCormack (née Clarke), Kilcurry, Ballymahon, Longford / Newtowncashel, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, at her residence, in the presence of her loving family, on Friday, March 4, 2022 of Margaret McCormack (née Clarke), Kilcurry, Ballymahon, Longford and formerly Saint’s Island, Newtowncashel. Predeceased by her son Justin and parents William and Mary Ellen. Sadly missed by her devoted husband Jimmy, sons Dermot and Seamus, daughters Marie (Cassidy, Frenchpark), Paula and Mairead (Tarrant, Millstreet), her grandchildren Justin, Sean, Mark, James, Lucy, Aoife, Ben, Rachel, Sarah, Jack, Matthew, Laura, Éoin, James, Áine, Aaron, Madison, Alex and Amelia, her daughters in law Charlotte and Michelle, sons in law Paraic, Damien and Stephen. Fondly remembered by her relatives, friends, neighbours and dedicated carers Maura, Dawn, Geraldine and Sandra.
Reposing at her residence N39WV61 this Saturday, March 5 from 5pm to 8pm. Leaving the family home at 12.30pm on Sunday, March 6 to arrive at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Carrickedmond (via Tashinny) for Mass at 1pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral mass can be viewed via Carrickedmond/Abbeyshrule parish Facebook page. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, c/o Skellys Funeral directors.

Pat(sy) O'Reilly, Rathfarnham, Dublin / Ballinamuck, Co Longford


The death occurred, at home, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 of Pat(sy) O'Reilly, Rathfarnham, Dublin/ Ballinamuck, Co Longford. Beloved husband of Maureen. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Caitríona (Hand), son Caoimhín, grandchildren Oisín, Cathal, Donnacha, Muireann, Art and Oscar, sisters Marion and Margaret, brother Tim, son-in-law Marc, daughter-in-law Ciara, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, friends, neighbours, the set-dancing community and his former colleagues at Nixdorf Computing.
Reposing at home on Friday, March 4, 2022 between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2.30pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross followed by cremation. Kathleen Williams (née Greally), Cnoc na Gaoithe, Lanesboro, Longford


The death occurred, on Wednesday, March 2, of Kathleen Williams (née Greally), Cnoc na Gaoithne, Lanesboro, Co Longford and formerly of Cullentra, Newtowncashel, Co Longford. Predeceased by her husband Richard.
Kathleen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Geraldine Coyle (Navan) and Margaret Glancy (Clonmore), sons-in-law Brian and Mark, grandchildren Laura, Aaron, Dylan, Jason and Jack, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home on Friday, March 4 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, March 5 in StMary’s Church, Lanesboro at 11am, interment afterwards in Clonbonny cemetery.

Hubert McCormack, Dublin 2, Dublin / Legan, Longford


The death occurred, suddenly, at St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin 4, on Monday, February 28, of Hubert McCormack, Dublin 2, Dublin and late of Legan, Longford. Hubert, beloved son of Rosie and the late James and loving brother of Marell and the late Bernard. Very sadly missed by his loving family, brother-in-law Iain, sister-in-law Patricia, niece Clare, nephews Ciaran, Michael, Daniel and Declan, his extended family and friends and his colleagues in MDI.
Reposing at his residence on Friday afternoon, March 4 for family and close friends only. Removal on Saturday morning, March 5 to the Church of Our Lady of Victories, Ballymun Road arriving for 11 o'clock Requiem Mass, with Funeral thereafter to Dardistown Crematorium.

The death occurred, peacefully following a brief illness at Mullingar General Hospital, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 of Philomena (Phyllis) Colreavy (nee Farrelly) Cattan, Mohill, Co Leitrim. Predeceased by her husband J.J. and sisters Mary, Anna B and Margaret. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her children, Sean, Mary Pennington (Marty), New York, Enda, Joan Tiernan (Pat), Drumboylan, Margaret, Eileen Donohoe (Aidan), Cloone, Noreen (Alan Christie), Drumshanbo and Paul, grandchildren, Emma, Andrew, Amy, Brian, Cathal, Karen and Lisa, sisters Nell and Agnes, sister-in-law Lizzy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Mai Duignan (née Walsh), Corlismore, Ballinagh, Co Cavan


The death occurred, suddenly at home, on Thursday, March 3, 2022 of Mai Duignan (nee Walsh), Kiltrasna, Corlismore, Ballinagh, County Cavan. Predeceased by her husband Francie, parents James and Margaret and brothers Packie-Joe and Jim. Very sadly missed by her brothers John, Brian and Aidan, sister-in-law Philomena, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing in Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Friday evening, March 4 from 5pm to 6.45 pm followed by Removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Coronea to arrive at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 5 at 2pm followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

The death occurred, suddenly, at home, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 of Pat McCann, Killinure, Athlone, Co Westmeath/ Glasson, Co Westmeath.
Predeceased by his parents Tom and Kathleen, brothers Michael and Joe and his niece Siobhan. Sadly missed by his loving brothers James, John and Billy, sisters Maureen, Kathleen and Peggy, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends. May He Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand, on Saturday evening, March 5 from 4pm until 6pm. Funeral will take place on Sunday, March 6 after 11am Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tubberclaire, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Pat's family are very mindful of the risk of spreading Covid-19, and those attending the funeral are respectfully requested to observe social distancing, wear a face covering at all times and avoid shaking hands and hugging. The death occurred, peacefully at home, on Saturday, February 26, 2022 of Trevor Tomsett, Bunninassa , Bornacoola, Longford / Leitrim. The  death  occurred, suddenly & peacefully after a long illness at her residence in England, on Monday, February 28, 2022 of Maureen (Mary) Brady (nee Mimnagh), Wendover, Aylesbury, Bucks, England and late of St Michael's Road, Longford.
Sister of John and Thomas Mimnagh, Longford and Brighton. Predeceased by her parents John Mimnagh & Kate Mimnagh (nee Barden, Ferefad) and brothers Pat London and Longford and Josie Mimnagh, St Michael's Road, Longford. 
Missed by her son Patrick Brady, London and daughter Kathleen Bliss, Hampshire, England, grandsons Daniel Sandford & Brendan Sandford & Michael Bliss Hampshire & Cambridge, nephews, Darren & Joseph Mimnagh & niece Kathy Mimnagh, London, England, brothers and sisters in law, Abbeylara. May her soul rest in peace.

The death occurred, suddenly, on Wednesday morning, March 2, 2022 of Geraldine Donoghue, Glasson, Co Westmeath. Predeceased by her beloved parents Bertie and Rita and her brother Norman. Sadly missed by her loving brothers Eamonn, Desmond, Vivion, Gerry, Bertie and Enda, sisters-in-law Cassie, Marie, Catherine, Sandra and Avril, uncle Ned, cousins, neighbours, relatives and many friends. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand, Athlone on Friday evening, March 4 from 4pm with removal at 6pm to the church of the Immaculate Conception, Tubberclaire arriving at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday, March 5 at 11am  with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private please.

Margaret O'Sullivan (née Cooney), Sunbury on Thames, Middlesex, London and formerly of Ballycaher, Ballintubber, Roscommon / Beaufort, Kerry

The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in London, after a short illness, on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 of Margaret O'Sullivan (nee Cooney), The Avenue, Sunbury on Thames, Middlesex, London TW16 5EH and formerly of Ballycaher, Ballintubber, Castlerea, Co Roscommon.
Dearly loved wife of Pat (formerly of Ballyledder, Beaufort, Co Kerry), much loved mother of Christopher and Martin, adored grandmother to Morgan and Quinn and mother-in-law to Verity. Predeceased by her parents Martin and Christina, sisters-in-law Geraldine and Noreen and brother-in-law Jimmy. Sadly missed by her sisters and brothers Marie (Lanesboro), Imelda (Coosan, Athlone), Pat (Ballycaher), John (Mount Plunkett, Lecarrow) and Vincent (Ballintubber), her aunt Lizzie Conboy (Ballintubber), sisters-in-law Teresa, Mary and Anne, brothers-in-law John and Jerry, nieces, nephew, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and many great friends in Ireland and UK. May Margaret rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Thursday evening, March 3 from 5pm until 6.30pm (walk through only please) followed by removal to St Bride’s Church, Ballintubber arriving at 7.15pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, March 4 at 11am. Burial afterwards in Oran Cemetery. The O’Sullivan and Cooney family very much appreciate your support at this time. Patrick Anthony Mc Adden, Rathowen, Westmeath


The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, Berkshire UK aged 83 years, on Sunday, February 13, 2022 of Patrick Anthony Mc Adden, Caversham, Reading, UK and late of Rathowen, Westmeath.Tony, predeceased by his parents James & Elise McAdden (nee Kearney) of Rathowen, and his sisters Maureen, Philomena and Anne. Loving husband of Liz, Tony will be deeply missed by his children Marc, Kelly, Stephen, Emma, Tilly and Lucy, His grandchildren, Conor, Matilda, Colm, Oliver, Betty, Luke, Ursula, Henry, Flick, Martha, Edward and Anthony, his great granddaughter Freya, his brothers and sisters Eilish, Seamus, Sean, Sheila and Michael, his extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Loving Husband, Daddy, Brother, Father-in-Law, Uncle and cousin. Masterful accordion player, lover of music and the craic. No one left the home of Tony and Liz hungry or thirsty either in spirit or body. Tony will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
