Deaths in Longford - Saturday, March 9, 2019

Elizabeth Gray, Rathmines, Dublin and formerly of, Moyne, Longford


The death occurred on Thursday, March 7 of Elizabeth Gray, Rathmines, Dublin and formerly of Moyne, Longford. Predeceased by her sisters Mary-Jo and Breda (Glennon), her brothers Denis (Denny) and Dan. She will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, sister in law Mary Jo, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at the residence of her sister in law Mary Jo (Moyne Cross, Longford) on Saturday, March 9 from 5pm until 9pm. Removal on Sunday, March 10 to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Moyne for Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please.

Nuala Sheahan (née Molloy), Ferefad, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred, suddenly, on Thursday, March 7 of Nuala Sheahan (née Molloy), Ferefad, Longford Town, Longford. Sadly missed by her loving family, husband Michael, son Tom, sister Sheila, brother Aidan, daughter in law Susan, grandchildren Ríona, Braden and Conall, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, on Sunday, March 10 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 6pm. Removal on Monday, March 11 to arrive at St Mel’s Cathedral for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.

Jude Norton, Corry Park, Newtownforbes, Longford


The death occurred, suddenly, on Thursday, March 7 of Jude Norton, Corry Park, Newtownforbes, Longford and formerly of Lisbrack. Jude will be forever missed by his heart broken family, his son Stephen, daughter Grainne, father and mother Barry and Gertie, brother Barry, sister Jacinta, brother-in-law Thomas, grandchildren Tyrese and Lily Mae, uncles Edward and George (Jr), aunts Veronica Fisher and May Barden, nephews, nieces, neighbours and his many friends. May Jude rest in peace.
Reposing on Saturday, March 9 in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford, N39 KN66, from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday, March 10 at 1pm in St Mel's Cathedral, Longford, followed by burial in Ballymacormack Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Pieta House c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member. Family home at Lisbrack private please.

Willie McGoldrick, Killashee, Longford
The death occurred, at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, on Wednesday, March 6 of Willie McGoldrick, Killashee, Longford. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen, daughter Marianne and brother Gerard. Deeply regretted by his loving family Brigid, Kathleen and Stephanie, sons-in-law Ciaran, David and Brian, grandchildren, brothers Johnny and Peter, sisters Tessie and Annie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. Rest In Peace.
Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 9 at 12 noon in St Mary’s Church, Newtownforbes. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Donal Considine, Foynes court, Clonbalt, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred, suddenly, on Tuesday, March 5 of Donal Considine, Foynes court, Clonbalt, Longford Town, Longford. Beloved husband of Mona and dear father to Laura and Daniel. Predeceased by his sister Dearbhla. Donal will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, father Sean, mother Rosa, sisters and brothers Brid (Keenan), Brendan, Sean, Mary (Conway), Eamonn, Rosemarie (Rowley), Adrian and Ronan, daughter-in-law Lyndsay, mother and father-in-law Michael and Margaret Monaghan, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. May he rest in peace.

The death occurred, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, on Wednesday, March 6 of Nancy Landers (née Gumley), Derrin Lower, Ballinagh, Cavan. Beloved wife of Gerry, and dear Mother of Michael, Colm, and Paul. Deeply regretted by her brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
Burial of Ashes on Saturday, March 9 at 12 noon in St Felim's Cemetery, Ballinagh. Family Flowers only please. Donations in Lieu to Palliative Care, Cavan General Hospital or any Family Member.

The death occurred, peacefully, in the loving care of his family and the staff at Cavan General Hospital, on Friday, March 8 of James McPhillips, Drumcarey, Corlismore, Co Cavan and formerly Drumnalaragh, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. Beloved husband of the late Frances. Deeply regretted by his loving Family, daughter Helen, sons Seamus and Martin, his partner Rosaleen and her Family, Charlotte, Ann, T.J.
