The death occurred, suddenly, on Tuesday, March 5 of Donal Considine, Foynes court, Clonbalt, Longford Town, Longford. Beloved husband of Mona and dear father to Laura and Daniel. Predeceased by his sister Dearbhla. Donal will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, father Sean, mother Rosa, sisters and brothers Brid (Keenan), Brendan, Sean, Mary (Conway), Eamonn, Rosemarie (Rowley), Adrian and Ronan, daughter-in-law Lyndsay, mother and father-in-law Michael and Margaret Monaghan, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford on Friday, March 8 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Saturday, March 9 to arrive at St Mel’s Cathedral for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Longford Hospice c/o Glennon Funeral Directors or any family member.
Margaret Farrell (née Hamill), Brickeens, Kenagh, Longford
The death occurred, at her home, in her 99th year, on Monday, March 4 of Margaret Farrell (nee Hamill), Brickeens, Kenagh, Co Longford. Predeceased by her husband Micheál and son Noel. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Marian, sons Pat and Tommy, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Anthony, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.
Reposing at her home at Brickeens on Wednesday, March 6 from 12 noon until 3pm, with family time thereafter. Removal Wednesday evening to St Anne’s Church, Curry arriving at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 7 at 11am. Burial afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.
John ‘Jack’ Thompson, 181 Broadmeadows, Swords, Dublin / Killoe, Longford
The death occurred, suddenly, at his mother's home in Rhyne, Killoe, on Friday, March 1 of John ‘Jack’ Thompson, 181 Broadmeadows, Swords, Dublin and formerly of Rhyne, Killoe, Co Longford. Retired member of An Garda Síochána. Predeceased by his father Bill. John will be forever missed by his loving family, his wife Fran, sons Owen and Sam, daughter Jenny, mother Anna Mae, father-in-law and mother-in-law Sam and Jo Dennigan, (Clooneena, Longford), brother-in-law Mick Dennigan (Kilmore,Longford), sisters-in-law Marie Lord (Lusk), and Pauline O'Connor (Tralee), aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and his many friends. May John rest in peace.
Removal to arrive to St. Colmcille's Church, Swords, Dublin, on Wednesday, March 6 for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium, Old Airport Road, Commons, Co Dublin.
Tess Frawley (née Coffey), Darogue, Ballymahon, Longford
The death occurred, peacefully, in the care of Laurel Lodge, Longford, on Sunday, March 3 of Tess Frawley (née Coffey), Darogue, Ballymahon, Longford. Recently predeceased by her husband Michael and predeceased by her sister Julia Keenan. Sadly missed by her loving daughters Lynda and Amy (Kenny), son-in-law Stephen, grandchildren Emma and Shane, sisters Mary (Cusack), Carmel (Purcell), Josie (Galvin), Ann, and Margrete (Bell), brothers Fintan and Michael, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 6 at 11am in St Matthew's Church, Ballymahon, followed by burial in Shrule Cemetery.
