The death occurred, peacefully, in Mullingar General Hospital surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, February 20 of Betty Elizabeth Rogers (née Doherty), 12 Castle Gardens, Newtownforbes, Longford and formerly Carrowcushlaun, Ballina, Co Mayo. Predeceased by her parents Tom and Mary. Betty will be forever missed by her loving family her husband Dessie, son David, daughter Kelly, son-in-law Damien, grandchildren Josh and Darragh, brothers Tommy, Billy and Paddy (Mayo), sisters Ann (Naas), Eileen, Marion and Noreen (Mayo), brothers-in-law Pete, JP, Martin, Tommy Joe, Paddy and Tommy, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Mary, Siobhan and Noreen, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her many good friends.
Deep are the memories, Precious they stay, No passing of time, Can take them away. May Betty rest in peace.
Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford, N39 KN66 on Friday, February 22 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 23 at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Newtownforbes, Co Longford, N39 EF29 followed by burial in local cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Mullingar Palliative Care, c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member. Reposing at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown on Friday, February 22 from 4pm with prayers at 7pm followed by removal to St Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown to arrive at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass Saturday, February 23 at 12 noon followed by burial in Aughfin Cemetery, Edgeworthstown. Family flowers only. House private please.
