Deaths in Longford - Tuesday, December 4, 2018 - evening

Edward Harward (Eddie) Hewitt, 9 Paraic Colum Heights, Longford Town, Longford / Ballymahon, Longford
The death occurred, suddenly, at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, on Saturday, December 1 of Edward Harward (Eddie) Hewitt, 9 Paraic Colum Heights, Longford town and late of Brannigan, Ballymahon, and recently in the care of the staff of Cluain Lir Care Centre, Mullingar. Son of the late Harmen and Kathleen. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by his sister Louise (England), sisters-in-law Mary (Ballymahon), Julie (New South Wales), and Patricia (USA), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends. Safe in the arms of Jesus.
Reposing in St Joseph's Care Centre, Church of Ireland, Longford, this Wednesday December 5 from 5pm followed by removal to St Catherine's Church, Ballymahon, at 7pm. Funeral service on Thursday, December 6 at 1pm followed by interment in adjoining graveyard.

Jim ‘James’ Foy, Riverstown, Cloone, Leitrim


The death occurred, peacefully, at Sligo University Hospital, on Sunday, December 2 of Jim ‘James’ Foy, Riverstown, Cloone, Leitrim. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, brother Des (UK), sister Marian (Longford), sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. May He Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Glennons Funeral Home, Longford on Tuesday, December 4 from 5pm - 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm followed by removal to St Mary's Church, Cloone arriving at 8pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday, December 5 at 12 noon followed by burial in the local cemetery.
Family Flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to The Irish Cancer Society, c/o McKeon's Funeral Directors Cloone. House strictly private please.

The death occurred on Monday, December 3 of Brian Gill, Doonis, The Pigeons, Athlone, Westmeath, in the loving care of the staff of Thomond Lodge Nursing Home.
Brother of the late Tony Gill. Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Bernadette Cassells, Philomena Donlon and sister-in-law Teresa Gill, along with his nieces and nephews.
Reposing in the home of his nephew, Anthony Gill, Doonis, The Pigeons on Tuesday December 4 from 3pm until 9pm. Removal on Wednesday morning December 5 at 11.30am, arriving to St Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tang, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Temple Valley Cemetery. House private Wednesday morning, please.

Luke Walsh, Wineport, Glasson, Athlone, Westmeath / Woodquay, Galway
The death occurred on Sunday, December 2 of Luke Walsh, Wineport, Glasson, Athlone, Westmeath and formerly of Woodquay, Galway, unexpectedly at home.
Sadly missed by his heartbroken family Bernie, Aoife, Miriam, Dermy, Przem and Cathy, sisters Mary, Ann and Libby, brothers Paul and Joe, in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives, students and many friends. Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand, on Tuesday evening December 4 from 4pm until 7pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, December 5 in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Coosan, at 12 noon followed by cremation afterwards in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin. Family flowers only, please.
