Deaths in Longford - Tuesday, November 13, 2018 - evening

Paddy Collum, Lettergunnell, Ballinalee, Longford

The death occurred on Sunday, November 11 of Paddy Collum, Lettergunnell, Ballinalee, Longford. Predeceased by his father Jack. Paddy died peacefully in Mullingar General Hospital. Paddy will be forever missed by his loving son Paddy, mother Mary, sister Noreen O'Rourke, brothers John and Mickey, sister-in-law Roisin, brother-in-law Brendan, Paddy Junior's mother Mary,nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and his many friends.
His nature was loving and giving, His heart was made of gold, And to us who truly loved him, His memory will never grow old. Rest in peace Paddy.
Reposing at his home in Lettergunnell on Tuesday, November 13 from 11am onwards. Funeral mass on Wednesday, November 14 at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Ennybegs followed with burial afterwards in St Emer's Cemetery, Ballinalee.

Robert ‘Sonny’ Jones, Bornacoola, Leitrim / Longford
The death occured on Monday, November 12 of Robert ‘Sonny’ Jones, (Livestock Haulier), Cloonagher, Bornacoola, Co Leitrim, in his 96th year, peacefully at the residence of his son David and surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his brothers; Bill and John and his sisters; Elizabeth and Anne. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife; Muriel, sons; Alex and David, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces; Sharon and Sandra, nephew; Andrew, his friend Sinead, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. Safe in the Arms of Jesus.
Reposing at the residence of his son David at Cloonagher, Bornacoola on Tuesday, November 13 from 2pm with remains to arrive at St Paul's Church of Ireland Newtownforbes, Co Longford on Wednesday, November 14 for funeral service at 2pm. Burial afterwards to the adjoining churchyard.

Valmor Tidbury, Lough Rynn Drive, Tawnaghmore, Mohill, Leitrim

The death occurred on Saturday, November 10 of Valmor Tidbury, Lough Rynn Drive, Tawnaghmore, Mohill, Leitrim, recently predeceased by his loving wife Bridget ‘Bridie’.
Valmor will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, daughters Fiona,Loretta and Carmen, sons Conrad, Brendan and Nigel, son in law Eamon, daughter in law Tracey, grandchildren Edward Jnr.,Carmen,Ethan, Courtney, Brooke, Rhys, Konrad and Amy, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rest in peace.
Resting at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford on Tuesday, November 13 from 6pm until 7.30pm. A celebration of Valmor’s life will take place on Wednesday, November 14 also in the Funeral Home at 11.30am, followed by interment in Mohill cemetery. Family flowers only please donations if desired to Sligo Hospice , c/o Glennon Funeral Directors or any family member.

Gerard Galvin, Longford / Donard, Wicklow
The death occurred on Saturday, November 10 of Gerard Galvin, Longford and late of Donard, Co Wicklow.  
Son of the late Stephen and Kathleen and brother of Stephen, Miriam, Anne, John, Patrick and the late Paschal and Catherine. Will be dearly missed by his family, partner John, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family, relatives and friends. May he Rest in Peace.
Funeral arriving to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Donard on Friday, November 16 for 12 noon Funeral Mass followed by burial in Donard Cemetery. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to the I.S.P.C.A. Donation box at the Church.

Celsus McGovern, Conoboro Road, Rathdowney, Laois / Ballinamore, Leitrim
The recent death has occurred on Monday, November 12 of Celsus McGovern, Clover Hill, Conoboro Road, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and formerly Ballinamore, Co Leitrim, peacefully in the presence of his family and in the tender care of his friends at The Lakes Nursing Home, Killaloe.
Celsus in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Pauline (nèe Quigley). Treasured father to Declan, Danny, Celsus, Loughlin and Alicia. Loving brother of Seddie (Ballinamore) and Mary Collins (Ballinteer), father-in-law to Angela, Imelda, Ann and Joe, cherished grandad to Jack, Aoife, Siùn, Sophie, Harry, Charlie and Freddie, sadly mourned by his sisters-in-law Mary O' Callaghan and Josie McGovern, nieces, nephews, our great neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at his home (Clover Hill) on Wednesday evening November 14 from 5pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 15 at 12 noon in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney. House private on Thursday morning. Rest in Peace.

Luke Kelleher, Drumbinish, Aughavas, Leitrim
The death occurred on Monday, November 12 of Luke Kelleher, Drumbinish, Aughavas, Leitrim at Sligo General Hospital. Deeply regretted by his brother Mel, sisters Maryjo Prunty (Kilcock) & Susan Reilly (Arva), sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Anthony, nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephew, relatives & friends. RIP.
Reposing in Connell's Funeral Chapel, Battery Road, Longford, on Tuesday, November 13 from 5pm to 6.30pm with removal to St Stephen's Church, Rossan, arriving at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 14 at 12 noon, followed by burial in Aughavas Cemetery.
Please note extra parking is available at Connell's Funeral Chapel in Connolly Barracks car park.
