John Gaffney, Ferriskill, Mostrim, Longford / Ballinalee, Longford
The death occurred, peacefully in the care of the staff of St Joseph’s Care Centre, Longford, on Friday, February 16 of John Gaffney, Ferriskill, Mostrim, Longford and formerly of Aughakilmore, Ballinalee, Co Longford. Sadly missed by his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May he Rest in Peace.
Reposing at St Joseph's Church, Longford on Sunday, February 18 from 4pm to 6pm with Prayers at 6pm. Removal on Monday, February 19 to St Joseph's Church, Purth for funeral mass at 11am followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Thérèse Sweeney (née Moylan), ‘Roxboro’, Battery Road, Longford Town, Longford / Loughrea, Galway


The death occurred on Thursday, February 15 of Therese Sweeney (nee Moylan), ‘Roxboro’, Battery Road, Longford town and formerly of Main Street, Loughrea, Galway, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her brother Bernard and her sister Anne. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband Jim, daughters Mary and Catherine, sons James and Nick, sister Sr.Mary, brothers Thomas and Peter, daughters-in-law Linda and Ursula, son-in-law Peter, grandchildren Sophie, Isabelle, Rebecca, Doyle, Sarah, Katie, Tom and Jamie, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, February 17 in St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford at 11am, with interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.

James Macken, Rathfarnham, Dublin / Granard, Longford
The death occurred, peacefully, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family, under the tender care of the staff of the cardiac unit in the Beacon Hospital, on Wednesday, February 14 of James Macken, Lt. Col Retired, Rathfarnham and late of Granard. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Marie (née Shivnan), his sons David, Barry, Conor and daughter Ciara McNaughten, his daughters-in-law Joan, Niamh, Kay and son-in-law Sean, together with his brothers Johnnie, Benny, Eddie, sister Doris and all his extended family and friends. His eight lovely grandchildren Darragh, Maeve, Leah, Amy, Ben, Holly, Sam and Lucy are very saddened at his passing.
Removal on Saturday morning, February 17 to the Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham, arriving for 11am Mass. Funeral afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross. No flowers please.

Michael Smith, Gortahork, Ballinagh, Cavan
The death occurred on Thursday, February 15 of Michael Smith, Gortahork, Ballinagh, Cavan, died peacefully in The College View Nursing Home, Cavan. Predeceased by his wife Mary. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sons Michael and Raymond, daughters Geraldine and Paula. Sadly missed by his sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, sister Ellen (Nell), sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass in St Felim's Church, Ballinagh on Saturday morning February 17 at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please.


Seamus Kennedy, Shallon, Julianstown, Meath / Tarmonbarry, Roscommon
The death occurred, peacefully after a short illness, on Wednesday, February 14 of Seamus Kennedy, Shallon, Julianstown, Co Meath and formerly of Tarmonbarry, Co Roscommon. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, son Sean, daughters Angela, Anne and Josephine, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, brother, sisters, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends. May Seamus Rest in Peace.
Funeral Mass on Saturday morning February 17 in St Mary's Church, Julianstown (A92 XW72) at 11am followed by removal to Dardistown Crematorium (K69 HP26) for service at 2pm. No Flowers by request. House Private on Saturday Please.

Kathleen ‘Kay’ Mullett (née Jordan), Glasnevin North, Dublin / Ballynacargy, Westmeath
The death occurred, peacefully, on Wednesday, February 14 of Kathleen ‘Kay’ Mullett (née Jordan), Glasnevin North, Dublin and late of Ballynacargy, Westmeath. Sadly missed by her loving husband Fred, daughters Anne, Siobhan, Mairead and Mary, sons-in-law, grandchildren Mark, Alan, Ian, Ella, Emily, Emmett, Caoilain, Paul, Ciaran and Hai, sisters May, Rita, Una and Josie, extended family and friends. May Kathleen Rest In Peace.
Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, February 17 at 10am in St. Canice’s Church, Finglas followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery.
