James ‘Jimmy’ Fahy, Highfield Road, Knockroe and formerly of Tarmon, Castlerea, Roscommon
The death occurred on Thursday, January 18 of James ‘Jimmy’ Fahy, Highfield Road, Knockroe, Castlerea and formerly of Tarmon, Castlerea, Co Roscommon (Ex-Principal of Tarmon National School). Peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar after a short illness.
Predeceased by his granddaughter Michelle. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his loving wife Marie, sons Jimmy, Micheál, Sean & Brendan, daughter Mary, grandchildren Aisling, Deirdre, Aoife, Stephen, Darren, Maria, Orla, Daniel & Eva, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sister-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends. May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
Reposing at his home on Friday evening January 19 from 4pm with removal at 8pm to St Patrick's Church, Castlerea. Mass of the Resurrection at 11am on Saturday, January 20th with burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery. Family Flowers only, please. Elizabeth Ann McManus (née Keane), Lake view house Murhaun, Drumshanbo, Leitrim
The death occurred on Friday, January 19 of Elizabeth Ann McManus (nee Keane) of Lake view house, Murhaun, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim in her 90th year, peacefully at her home surrounded by and in the tender loving care of her devoted family together with that of the palliative home care team.
Predeceased by her beloved husband John, Sister Mary Teresa Beirne and brother John Francis Keane.
Forever loved and missed by her daughter Kathleen, Brother Packie Joe, Sisters in law, Nephews, Nieces, extended family and her many friends and neighbours. May her gentle soul rest in peace. Rest In Peace.
Reposing at her home on Saturday, January 20 from 2pm - 9pm. Mass of christian burial on Sunday afternoon January 21 at 2pm in St Patrick’s Church Drumshanbo. Interment in the adjoining cemetery, please use shuttle bus from Mayflower car park to house and return. House private at all other times please. Family flowers only. The death occurred on Friday, January 19 of Phyllis Fagan (née Donegan), Cresley, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath; peacefully, in the loving care of the Matron and staff of Maple Court Nursing Home, Castlepollard.
Predeceased by her husband Brendan; deeply regretted by her sons Gerard, Don, Aidan and Mattie, sisters Cissie and Kathleen, sisters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Phyllis rest in peace.
Reposing at Shaw’s Funeral Home, Bishopsgate Street, Mullingar on Saturday, January 20 from 3.30pm. Leaving at 5.15pm, with removal to St Michael’s Church, Castlepollard, arriving at 5.45pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday, January 21 at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery, Castlepollard.
Rev Fr Leonard ‘Leo’ Leddy, Annaduff, Leitrim
The death occurred on Tuesday, January 16 of Rev Fr Leonard ‘Leo’ Leddy, formerly of Annaduff, Co Leitrim and Diocese of Austin Texas. Predeceased by his father Michael, mother Catherine, Sisters Sr Ann Marie (Nan), Sr Augustine (Kathleen), Elizabeth, Br Kevin (John), and Hugh, deeply regretted by his nephew Adrian, nieces Bernadette, Michelle and Patricia, Bishops, Priests and parishioners of Austin Diocese, relatives and friends. Funeral will take place in Texas. Memorial Mass at a later date in St Mary’s Church Annaduff. Requiescat in Pace.
John ‘Sean’ Gallagher, Greendale Road, Dublin / Aughnasheelin, Leitrim
The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Beaumont Hospital, on Monday, January 8, of John ‘Sean’ Gallagher, Greendale Road, Dublin and formerly of Drumrackin, Aughnasheelin, Co Leitrim, retired member of An Garda Síochána. Beloved husband to Alice, loving father to Alan, Seán, Leo and Alice. Dearly missed by his wife, children, daughter-in-law Orlaith, grandchildren Sean, Conor and Emma, brothers Tom and Seamus, sisters Anna, Josie, Mary, Sr Rose, Eileen and Peg, McMonagle family, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many friends. May his soul rest in peace.
