Deaths in Longford - March 31, 2017

James (Jimmy) McCormack, Rabbit Park, Ardagh, Co Longford

The recent death has occurred on Wednesday, March 29 of James ‘Jimmy’ McCormack, Rabbit Park, Ardagh, peacefully in his 96th year, in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff in Sunset Lodge at St Joseph's Hospital, Dublin Road, Longford.
Beloved cousin of Jimmy and Liam Halpin (Carrabeg). Deeply regretted by his family, very good neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.
Reposing in St Joseph's Hospital Chapel on Friday evening March 31 from 5pm with Prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass also in St Joseph's Hospital Chapel on Saturday morning April 1 at 11am. Burial afterwards in Ardagh Cemetery.

Rose Furneaux (née Maguire), Bracklyn Road, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford
The recent death has occurred on Wednesday, March 29 of Rose Furneux (nee Maguire) Bracklyn Road, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford, suddenly at the General Hospital, Mullingar.
Wife of the late Cliff. Deeply regretted by her loving son David, sister Bridget, granddaughter, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown this Friday evening March 31 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 1 at 11am in our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown followed by burial in St Emer's Cemetery, Ballinalee. Donations, if desired, to Irish Cancer Society c/o Martin Farrell and Sons Funeral Directors, Ballinalee or any family member.

Kathleen Hannon (née Leahy), Greatmeadow, Boyle, Co Roscommon
The recent death has occurred on Wednesday, March 29 of Kathleen Hannon, nee Leahy, Greatmeadow, Boyle, Co Roscommon, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Plunkett Home, Boyle.
Predeceased by her husband Joe. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Ann (O'Brien) Longford, son Gerard (Ennis), son-in-law Pat and daughter-in-law Hilary, sisters Eileen and Brenda, grandchildren and great-grandson.
Her remains were removed to St Joseph's Church, Boyle. Funeral Mass on Friday, March 31 at 11am with burial afterwards in Assylinn Cemetery, Boyle. Any further enquiries to Higgins and Sons Funeral Directors, Boyle and Ballinameen, Co Roscommon.
