Deaths in Longford - March 8, 2017

Margaret ‘Peggy’ Mollaghan (née Gallagher), Templeogue, Dublin, New York and San Diego USA, Fenagh, Leitrim / Drumlish, Co Longford

The recent death has occurred on Monday, February 13 of Margaret Mollaghan nee Gallagher Fenagh County Leitrim, Templeogue, Dublin, New York and San Diego USA aged 83 years. Wife of the late Patrick, Cloonaugh, Drumlish, County Longford.
Deeply regretted by her sons Tommy and Aaron daughters Marian, Bernadette, Sheila, Eileen and Diane, sisters Lil and Rose, brother John, eleven grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins relatives and friends. Rest In Peace.
Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church Drumlish County Longford on Friday, March 10 at 12 noon followed by interment of cremated remains in local cemetery.

Maeve Power (née Cosgrave), Shankill, Dublin / Granard, Longford
The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Greystones Nursing Home, on Sunday, March 5 of Maeve Power (née Cosgrave), Shankill, Dublin and formerly of Granard, Longford. Beloved wife of the late Paddy, much loved mother of Deirdre, Pierce, Martin, David and Ivan. Will be sadly missed by her daughter, sons, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Thomas Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, Boghall Road, Bray on Thursday, March 9 from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday morning, March 10 at 10am in St Anne's Church, Shankill followed by interment in Deans Grange Cemetery.

Michael Wetton, No.25 Castlegrove, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath
The recent death has occurred on Friday, March 3 of Michael Wetton, No 25 Castlegrove, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath, peacefully at Midlands Mullingar Regional Hospital after a long illness.
Survived by his loving wife Joan, daughters, stepdaughters, stepson, brother James, sister Carol, nieces, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, cousins and a wide circle of friends both in England and Ireland. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at his residence, No 25 Castlegrove on Thursday, March 9 from 2pm until 8pm. House private thereafter. Funeral Friday, March 10 at 3pm at the Church of Ireland, Castlepollard and Burial afterwards to adjoining Church Yard. House strictly private Friday morning please. The family would like to thank Dr Richard of Coole Surgery and all the doctors, nurses and staff of Mullingars A&E and Medical 1 for all their loving care and support throughout Michael’s illness.

Bernard Brady, Drumgore, Loughduff, Cavan
The death occurred, suddenly at home, on Wednesday, March 8 of Bernard Brady, Drumgore, Loughduff, Cavan. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Molly, and brother Thomas Conaty. Sadly missed by his sister Mary Coyle, nephews, Patrick and Marcus and Marcus's partner Sarah, grandnephew Dean, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace. The death occurred, following a tragic accident, on Saturday, March 4 of Eamonn O'Donohoe, Curramore, Kiltoom, Athlone, Roscommon / Athlone, Westmeath, formerly of Palmerstown, Dublin. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Sharon and children Sarah, Alex and Lucy, his mother in law Kay Ryan, brother in law Martin and his wife Maria, sister in law Carmella, nephews Liam and Rory, friends, work colleagues and his friends in the Kayaking Community.
Reposing on Wednesday, March 8 in St Brigid's Funeral Home, Brideswell from 4pm with removal at 7.45pm to The Church of the Risen Christ, Ballybay arriving at 8.30pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday, March 9 at 11am followed by burial afterwards in Kiltoom Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Water Rescue Services. Bernard Jackson, formerly of Abbeywood Way, Lucan, Dublin / Longford
The death occurred on Sunday, March 5 of Bernard Jackson, formerly of Abbeywood Way, Lucan, Dublin/ Longford, peacefully in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home.
Predeceased by his wife Bridget. Bernard will be sadly missed by his loving family, son George, daughter-in-law Joan, grandsons Daniel and Mark, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
Reposed at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home Chapel, Ballinalee Road, Longford on Tuesday, March 7 from 5.30pm until 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday, March 8 at 10am (also in the Nursing home Chapel), followed by interment in Donacomper Cemetery, Celbridge, Co Kildare, arriving at 1.15pm approximately.

Brendan Keville, Corduff, Aughamore, Co Leitrim / Sligo Town, Sligo
The death occurred on Monday, March 6 of Brendan Keville, Corduff, Aughamore, Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim, also 21 John Street Sligo, at St John’s Hospital, Sligo.
Husband of the late Ann Harn, deeply regretted by his brothers Michael John, and Bernard, sister Sr. Bernarda, relatives and friends. May he Rest in Peace.
Reposing at St John's Hospital Chapel on Wednesday March 8 from 9am until 9.40am followed by removal to arrive at St Mary's Church, Annaduff for Funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death occurred on  Monday, February 27 of Paddy Ward, Teffia Park & London, suddenly, brother of the late Joe, Teffia Park.
