Michael Cassidy, Ballyduffy, Moyne, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at Lough Erril Nursing Home, Mohill, Co Leitrim on Saturday, March 22, 2025 of Michael Cassidy, Ballyduffy, Moyne, Longford. 

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Emily. Survived by his brother Peter (Joan) and family, Fyhora, sister Ellen and family, USA, sister Bridget, Ballyduffy and Emily (Vincent) and family, Newtowngore, his many nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews and many cousins. Rest in Peace. 

Reposing at Lough Erril Oratory, N41 XE39 on Monday evening, March 24 from 6pm until 8pm. Removal arriving via Corriga to St Francis Xavier Church, Moyne, N39 P462 for funeral mass at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 25 followed by interment in adjoining cemetery. Funeral will be live streamed HERE. House private please.

Paul Holdroyd, Ratharney, Abbeyshrule, Longford

The death occurred peacefully but unexpectedly at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore in his 75th year on Saturday, March 22, 2025 of Paul Holdroyd, Ratharney, Abbeyshrule, Longford. 

Paul will be sadly missed by his loving wife Pam and daughter Gemma, his brother John and wife Catherine, his brother Roger and his wife Terri, sister in law Sandra, nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Service to be held at Lakelands Crematorium Cavan on Tuesday, March 25 at 12 noon. Donations if desired to Friends of the Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore in lieu of flowers please. House strictly private at all times please.

Rita Moran (née Mulligan), Tully, Emyvale, Monaghan, H18D297 / Aughnacliffe, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Sunday, March 23, 2025 of Rita Moran (née Mulligan), Tully, Emyvale, Monaghan, H18D297 / Aughnacliffe, Longford. Predeceased by her daughter in law Dolores.

Beloved wife of Gus and loving mother of Monica (Kim Michael), Dympna, Margaret (John Crudden), Francie (Teresa), Dermot (Lorraine Callaghan), Geraldine (Walter Patterson), Rita (John McEvoy) and Sinead. She will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters and sons and her grandchildren Louise, Shane, Aisling, Ella, Darren, Kerri (R.I.P.), Keith, Colm, Danielle, Ciaran, Kate, Conor, Sean and her seven great grandchildren along with her extended family, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at her home on Monday, March 24 from 4pm until 8pm and on Tuesday, March 25 from 4pm until 8pm. Removal on Wednesday, March 26 at 10.30am, arriving at St Patrick’s Church, Corracrin for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass can be viewed live here. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Monaghan Arch Club.

James (Jimmy) O'Keeffe, Tonlagee, Corlough, Cavan / Castleconnell, Limerick

The death occurred peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 23, 2025 of James (Jimmy) O'Keeffe, Tonlagee, Corlough, Cavan/ Castleconnell, Limerick.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Annie, his brothers John, Timothy & Arthur and his sister Margaret. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his loving daughter Caroline (& Billy Wykes), his sons Oliver and James (& Catriona Naughton), his sisters Bridget Gibbs (& Tony) (UK), Mary McDermott (Birr), Teresa Bell (London) and Annie (Boodles) O’Keeffe (London), his brothers Brian (& Bridie) (Limerick), Michael (& Margaret) (Limerick), and Dan (& Kathleen) (Limerick), his beloved granddaughters Candice Ray-O’Keeffe & Hannah Naughton and all of his extended family, neighbours & friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Smith's Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim N41 TD62 on Wednesday evening, March 26 from 6pm until 8pm. Removal from his home on Thursday morning, March 27 to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Corlough for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. "So tear up your mourning and hang up your brightest colours in his honour; and let us all praise God" - This quote from George Bernard Shaw was a favourite of Jimmy's. In his honour, the family would love if those attending the funeral would wear their brightest colours. Funeral Mass may be viewed on Corlough-Templeport parish Facebook page. House private at all times please.

Ian O'Reilly, Carrick, Finea, Cavan

The death occurred suddenly at his home on Wednesday 19, March 2025 of Ian O'Reilly Carrick, Finea, Cavan.

Sadly missed by his cousins, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace. Cremation Service on Tuesday, March 25 at 11am at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Cavan.

        Brendan Dunne, Gardanne, France / formerly of Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Roscommon

        The death occurred peacefully following an illness borne with great courage on Saturday, March 15, 2025 of Brendan Dunne, Gardanne, France and formerly of Ballyleague, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon. 

        Beloved husband to Marion (McDevitt) and devoted father to Emma & Matthieu. Cherished son of Noreen and the late Denis. Loving brother to Siobhán, Gráinne, Gary, Niamh & Fiona. Brendan will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

        Funeral in France with commemoration service at a later date in Ireland.
