Margaret (Peggy) Cassidy (née Breslin), Fardromin, Ballinamuck, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home in the loving care of her family, on Monday, February 10, 2025 of Margaret (Peggy) Cassidy (nee Breslin), Fardromin, Ballinamuck, Longford. Predeceased by her husband Thomas, grandsons Joseph and Daniel, sister Rose and brothers Eddie and Jimmy. Loving mother to Thomas, Mary (Sorohan), Kay (Culliney) and Bernie (Hagan), mother-in-law to Ellen, Charlie, Martin and Peter. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Niamh, Thomas, Kevin, Darren, Cathal, Shane, Declan, Ciara and Liam, great-grandchildren Joe, Reily and Agnes.

sisters Maureen Davitt, Kay Young and Agnes McKenna, brother-in-law George, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, good neighbours and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Reposing at her residence in Fardromin, Ballinamuck, Co. Longford (Eircode N39 FV00) on Tuesday, February 11 from 4pm until 8pm. As parking is limited a shuttle bus will run from The 98 Bar Ballinamuck (eircode N39 CP04) during this time. Removal on Wednesday, February 12 arriving to St Patrick’s Church, Ballinamuck at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 13 at 12 noon, followed by burial in Ballinamuck new Cemetery.

Joseph Geraghty, Bessfort, Ballymahon, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in London on Thursday, January 16, 2025 of Joseph Geraghty, London and formerly of Bessfort, Ballymahon, Co Longford. He will be sadly missed by his loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. May he Rest in Peace.

Joseph's Funeral Mass will take place in St Matthew’s Church, Ballymahon on Tuesday morning, February 11 at 10am, followed by burial in Forgney cemetery. The Funeral Mass may be viewed live HERE

Owen Devlin, Dublin / Longford Town, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in his 94th year in the loving care of his family on Friday, February 7, 2025 of Owen Devlin, Artane, Dublin 5 and formerly of Great Water Street, Longford (Ex. Telecom Eireann). Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Evelyn, brothers Paddy, Martin, Eddie, Joe and infant Michael, infant sister Bridget and by his parents Paddy and Mai.

Owen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, daughters Helene and Michele, sons Michael, John and Patrick, daughters-in-law Martina, Deirdre and Deborah, son-in-law Akhter, Helene’s partner Liam, sisters Margaret, Ann, Teresa and Kathleen, brothers Sean and Seamus, grandchildren Matthew, Eoin, Ruth, Mairead, Kim, Ciara, Brian, Ben, Daniel, Sami and Adam, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) on Tuesday, February 11 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday, February 12 in St Mel’s Cathedral, Longford at 11am, interment afterwards in Ballymacormack cemetery. The Funeral mass will be streamed live please go to www.longfordparish.com 

Margaret (Maggie) Killian (née Mallon), Lettergunnell, Ballinalee, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 7, 2025 of Margaret (Maggie) Killian (nee Mallon) Lettergunnell, Ballinalee, Co Longford.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Johnnie, brother John and brother-in-law Terence Fitzpatrick. Margaret will be forever missed and always remembered with love by her family, son Ollie, daughter Geraldine (Caherly), son-in-law Eugene, daughter-in-law Sinead, her adored grandchildren Shauna, Aoife, Niamh, Sean, Joe and Anna, sister Nell, sister-in-law Eilish Mallon, nephews, niece and her great neighbours and wonderful friends. No matter how life changes, No matter what we do, A special place within our hearts, will always be kept for you. Rest in Peace Margaret.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home Church Street, Longford N39 KN66 on Sunday, February 9 from 3pm concluding with prayers at 5pm. Removal from her son Ollie and daughter-in-law Sinead's home Treanlawn, Killoe, on Monday, February 10 travelling via her home on route to St Patrick's Church, Ballinamuck for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Following Mass, Margaret will be laid to rest in the family plot in Kilmahon Cemetery.

Stephen Drew, Cartrun Breac, Lisbrack Road, Longford town, Co Longford / Loughlinstown, Dublin

The death occurred peacefully in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff of Roscommon Hospice on Thursday, February 6, 2025 of Stephen Drew, Cartrun Breac, Lisbrack Road, Longford town and formerly of Loughlinstown Wood, Co Dublin. 

Stephen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, beloved wife Gabrielle, sisters-in-law Grace and Carol, brothers-in-law Mark and Brian, mother Katherine, father Christopher , sisters Louise and Elizabeth, brother Aidan, mother-in-law Kay, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace .

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Monday, February 10 from 6pm until 8pm. A service in celebration of Stephen’s life will take place in the Funeral home on Tuesday, February 11 at 12 noon, interment afterwards in St John’s Churchyard, Battery Road, Longford. Thomas Patrick Leonard, Harold's Cross, Dublin / Annaduff, Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully in the tender care of the wonderful staff at Our Lady’s Hospice Harolds Cross on Thursday, February 6, 2025 of Thomas Patrick (TP) Leonard, Harolds Cross, Dublin formerly of Annaduff, Co Leitrim. 

Predeceased by his dear sister Maureen (Brady) and his parents Paddy and Annie. Sadly missed by his loving wife Teresa, his sisters Aine (Donlon) and Christine (Conroy), brother-in-law Jim, sisters-in-law Veronica and Jackie, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and his many friends and neighbours. May He Rest In Peace.

Reposing in Flanagan's funeral home, Lower Kimmage Road (D6WN279) on Sunday, February 9 from 3pm to 5pm. Removal to St Paul of the Cross Church, Mount Argus for Funeral Mass at 11.30am on Monday, February 10 followed by burial in Edgeworthstown Cemetery, Aughabrack, Co Longford (M9XWQX) arriving for 1.30pm approximately.

    Sr Bernarda (Mae) Keville, SSL Rathmines, Dublin / Annaduff, Leitrim

    The death occurred peacefully in the tender loving care of the staff of Maryfield Nursing Home, Chapelizod, Dublin 20 (D20 WC89) on Thursday, February 6, 2025 of Sr Bernarda (Mae) Keville, SSL late of St Louis Convent, Rathmines/ Annaduff, Co Leitrim. 

    Predeceased by her parents Bernard and Brigid, her brothers Michael John, Bernard and Brendan. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sister-in-law Annette, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, her extended family, former colleagues, a wide circle of friends and her St. Louis Community.

    Reposing at St Louis Convent, Rathmines on Sunday February 9 from 4pm until 5pm with evening prayer. Removal from St. Louis Convent, Rathmines on Monday morning February 10 to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Refuge of Sinners, Rathmines arriving for 11.30am Mass. Burial afterwards at Kilmashogue Cemetery, Edmonstown Road, Rathfarnham.

    Sean Kelleher, Mottingham, London and formerly of Mullinadara, Carrigallen, Leitrim

    The death occurred unexpectedly on Friday, December 13, 2024 of Sean Kelleher, Mottingham, London and formerly of Mullinadara, Carrigallen, Leitrim. 

    Sean will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, his partner Bushra, brother Gerry, sisters Maura (Nicholls), Bernadette (Murray), sister-in-law,brothers-in-law,nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he Rest In Peace. 

    Sean's funeral will take place in GreenAcres, Kemnal Park, Chapel, A20 Sideup Bypass., Chislehurst, Kent BR7 6RR on Friday, January 31 at 11am.
