Baby Zoe Stokes, Clonbalt Woods, Longford Town, Longford

The death occurred peacefully following a brave journey in her six short months of life on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 of Baby Zoe Stokes, Clonbalt Woods, Longford town. Zoe will be cherished and remembered forever by her heartbroken family, father John, mother Sinead, sister Kayleigh, brothers Ryan and Jack, grandparents Ned and Ann, Frank and Esther, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and extended family. Sleeping in the arms of the Angels.

There will be an opportunity for anyone who would like to pay their respects to the family on Thursday, October 10 from 4pm until 8pm at their home (6 Maple Court , Clonbalt Woods – N39 D5R3). Mass of the Angels on Friday, October 11 at 11am in St Mel’s Cathedral. Zoe will be laid to rest afterwards in Ballymacormack cemetery.

Joseph (Joe) Kilbride, ‘Elata’, Ballyanne, New Ross, Wexford / Granard, Longford

The death occurred on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 of Joseph (Joe) Kilbride, ‘Elata’, Ballyanne, New Ross, Co Wexford and late of Granard, Longford. Beloved husband of the late Anne (née Fouhy), sadly missed by his loving son Joseph, daughters Roberta (Gallagher), Helena (Coggins) and Fidelma (McGuirk), grandchildren Diarmuid, Tomás, Grace, Aaron, Hugh, Conan, Aisling, Joseph, Niamh, Sarah and Isobelle, sons-in-law Tom, Chris and John, daughter-in-law Deborah, brothers and sisters Michael, Bernadette, Thomas, Maura, Bríd, Sr. Roberta and predeceased by Seán, Paddy and Seamus, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Cooney's Funeral Home, New Ross, (Eircode: Y34FK44) on Thursday, October 10 from 4pm concluding at 7pm. Removal on Friday, October 11 to The Church of St Anne & St John, Rathgarogue, arriving for funeral mass at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The death occurred at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar on Monday, October 7, 2024 of James (Jimmy) Reilly, Dring, Co Longford. Predeceased by his parents Tommy and Annie, by his son Noel, daughter Áine, brothers in law Sean and Ned, sister in law Catherine. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Róisín, sons Thomas and Kevin, daughter Sinéad, daughter in law Laura, son in law Paraic, sisters Éilis and Anna, grandchildren, neighbours and a large circle of friends. May Jimmy rest in peace.

Reposing in the Laurel Lodge Nursing Home Chapel, Longford N39 XE92 on Wednesday evening, October 9 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 10 at 11am in St Joseph's Church, Purth N39 YX93 with burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Marie Kelly (née Wallace), Granaghan Dillon, Curraghroe, Roscommon

The death occurred peacefully in her 99th year in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Laurel Lodge Nursing Home Longford on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 of Marie Kelly (nee Wallace), Granaghan Dillon, Curraghroe, Co Roscommon.

Predeceased by her husband John , infant son Eamon, brothers Peter and Edward and her sisters Josephine and Bridie.Marie will be sadly missed by her daughters Annette Carrig (Longford), Hilda Quinn (Moher, Lanesboro), sister Susan (England), Nieces and Nephews, Sons in Law, 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, Relatives, Good neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Leevy's Funeral Home Scramogue (F42 FD78) on Thursday, October 10 from 6pm to 7.30pm. Removal on Friday Morning, October 11 to St Cecilia's Church Curraghroe for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial afterwards in Cloontuskert cemetery. 

John Conlon, Breanriskcullew, Drumlish, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 of John Conlon, Breanriskcullew, Drumlish, Co Longford. Sadly missed by his wife Una, sons Kevin and Aidan, daughter-in-law Siobhan, cherished grandchildren Helen, Sean, Ciara and Evan, sister Liz Lennon, nephews Pat, John and Joe, nieces Winifred, Elaine and Eilish, brothers-in-law Martin and Richard, sisters-in-law Mary and Eileen, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends. The death occurred peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 5, 2024 of Tom McLoughlin, Bracklin, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Catherine, his sister Kathleen, Nellie and Rosemary (infant) and by his beloved daughter Mary. Tom will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Nora, his sons Tommy, Kevin and Brendan, his daughters Kathleen and Noreen, his fourteen grandchildren and his two great grandchildren, his sisters Maureen and Lily in America, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, his good neighbours and many friends. Reposing at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown on Tuesday evening, October 8 from 4pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Please note the family will take a 10 minute break at 5.30pm until 5.40pm. Eileen Lennon (née Nally), Walkinstown, Dublin / Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the wonderful care of staff in Parke House Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 6, 2024 of Eileen Lennon (née Nally), late of Bunting Road, Walkinstown and formerly of Longford.

Predeceased by her beloved husband John and loving son Noel. Eileen will be very sadly missed by her children Breda, Maura, Fiona, Derek and Ken, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Bert, Tony and Tom, daughters-in-law Catherine, Vanessa and Liz, nephews and nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours. May Eileen rest in peace.

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Tuesday, October 8 from 5pm-7pm. Funeral on Wednesday, October 9 at 10am in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Walkinstown followed by burial in Palmerstown Cemetery arriving at approximately 12pm.

The death occurred  peacefully at Sheelin Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 6, 2024 of Teresa O’Reilly (nee Reynolds) of Cornahilt Bungalow, Ballyjamesduff, formerly of Mohill and New York. 

Teresa is predeceased by her husband Patrick, her sisters Nancy, Patti, Rose, Rita, and her brother Francis. Teresa is sadly missed by her loving family, her daughters Kelly (Kevin), Patricia (Edwin), and Maureen (Paul), her sons John (Nora) and Philip, her sisters Margaret, Marie, and Kay, her grandchildren, sister in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and neighbours. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family in the devoted care of the staff of Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Roscommon on Saturday, October 5, 2024 of Bernadette (Bernie) Dunning (née Cloonan), New Row Clonown Athlone, Roscommon. 

Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, brother Tom, and sister in law Maureen. Sadly missed by her daughters Geraldine Gannon (Knockcroghery), Marie (Killoe, Co. Longford), son John, daughter in law Inez, sons in law Raymond and Ciaran, adoring grandchildren, Ashling, James, Luke, Cian, Aela, Emily and Ciaran, her sisters Sr Agnes (USA),, Sr Mary (USA) and Bridget Henry (Togher), brothers Joe and Martin (Ballinahown), sisters in law Maria and Rose, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, & friends. Removal on Wednesday morning, October 9 to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, Clonown for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon, followed by burial in Clonown Cemetery. The death occurred peacefully in the dedicated care of the staff at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle with his loving wife by his side on Friday, October 4, 2024 of John Alfred James Waller Corry, Drumsna, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Roscommon.

Sadly missed by his devoted family: his wife Ruth, son Julian, daughters Liz and Frances, daughter-in-law Maria, son-in-law John, grandchildren, Abi, Jaden, Daniel, Sean, Julian and Nathan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, wonderful carers, neighbours and friends. At Rest.

John will repose at The Heritage Centre, Chapel of Rest, Church Lane, Carrick-on-Shannon (N41 KP62) on Tuesday, October 8 from 4.30pm until 6pm. Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 9 at 12 noon in St George’s Church, followed by cremation service at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at ​​​​​​ 3:30pm.
