Adrian Farrell, Corner House, Lanesboro, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 30, 2024 of Adrian (Adie) Farrell, Corner House, Main Street, Lanesboro Co Longford (Publican, Undertaker & former Chairman of Longford County Council). 

Predeceased by his father Gerald, mother Ena, brother Gerdie and beloved wife Josephine. Adie will be dearly missed by his son Gerald, daughter Lorraine, grandson Oisin, sister Eugenie McCabe, Lorraine's partner Alan, daughter in law Sarah, sister in law Doreen Corroon, brothers in law Jim Mc Cabe & Christy, Corroon, nieces, nephew, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, relatives, former colleagues, neighbours & many friends. May Adie Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Adie Farrell's Bar & Restaurant, Lanesboro (N39 NX65) on Wednesday, October 2 from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Cortege will leave the family home at 11:40am on Thursday, October 3 arriving at St Mary's Church, Lanesboro for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, Burial afterwards in Rathcline Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live please go to www.churchtv.ie/lanesborough

Mary Purcell (née Dowler), 78 McKeown Park, Longford town, Co Longford and formerly of Dalton Park, Mullingar

The death occurred peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 28, 2024 of Mary Purcell (nee Dowler), 78 McKeown Park, Longford town and formerly of Dalton Park, Mullingar, Co Westmeath. 

Predeceased by her mother Philomena and father-in-law Eamon. Mary will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family, husband Michael (Miley), daughters Ashling, Alesha, sons Luke, Michael and Brandon, her beloved grandchildren Emelia, Patrick, Mia and Reily, brother Ollie, mother-in-law Attracta Purcell, sisters-in-law Eita, Frany and Oliva, brother-in-law Tony, nieces, nephews, cousins, good neighbours and friends. Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace Mary.

Reposing in Connells Funeral Home, Church Street, Longford, N39 KN66 on Tuesday, October 1 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm. Removal from her home on Wednesday, October 2 to arrive to St Mel's Cathedral for Funeral Mass at 11am. Following Mass, Mary will be laid to rest in Ballymacormack Cemetery. Family flowers only please, Donations, if desired to the (Tullamore Regional Hospital Oncology Ward) c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member. 

Seamus Whelan, 12 Wolfe Tone Court, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully at his home in the company of his family on Saturday, September 28, 2024 of Seamus Whelan, 12 Wolfe Tone Court, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford. 

Predeceased by his father James and mother Ellen, brother Maurice and sister Phylis, daughter Fiona and son Alan. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughters Philomena, Sinéad and Marina, sons James, Ciarán and Enda, sister Rosaleen and brother Patrick, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing in the home of his daughter Philomena, 14 Clover Well, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford on Monday, September 30 from 5pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 1 at 12 noon in St Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown with cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. No flowers please. Donations in lieu if desired to Palliative Care Night Nurse's care of Gogan Funeral Directors or any family member.

House private on Tuesday morning, October 1.

Shay (James) Dempsey, Kilbrackan, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim

The death occurred peacefully in the excellent care of Ashley Lodge Nursing Home, Co Kildare on Sunday, September 29, 2024 of Shay (James) Dempsey Kilbrackan, Carrigallen, Co Leitrim.

Shay will be deeply missed by his son Shay, daughter Sue, their Mother Connie and his loving sister Bridie, his grandchildren James, Alanagh, Abbie Isabelle and Ethan, son in law Alan and daughter in law Elaine. Shay and Sandra will be missed by the entire Carrigallen community. May his soul Rest In Peace.

James (Shay) will be reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Wednesday, October 2 from 1pm followed by service and cremation at 2pm.
