The death occurred peacefully aged 91, with his family by his side on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 of James Peter (PJ) Hopkins of Hale, Cheshire, England and formerly Lislea, Kenagh, Co. Longford. He is pre-deceased by his parents and brother Paddy. PJ will be sadly missed and remembered with much love and affection by his wife Margaret, daughters Sandra, Celine and Loretta and sons-in-law, Jason, David H and David F, his grandchildren, Imogen, Tristan, Mauringh, Harry, Ruby and Alfred, sisters Philomena, Nellie, Bernadette, Celia and Kathleen his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends both in Ireland, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Egypt and the US. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary, brother Bill and his parents-in-law Gladys and Jimmy Cahill. Predeceased by her parents Luke & Ellen Duffy and her brothers Eamon, Dinny, Mick & Leo. Beloved wife of Ado and much loved mother of Sheena and Francis. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs Maureen Molloy, beloved wife of Mr Aidan Molloy. Maureen passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Greenwich, London, UK.
She was the cherished daughter-in-law of the late Mr and Mrs Airlie, whose family were well known and respected Merchant Tailors in Longford town many decades ago. Maureen will be deeply missed by her loving husband Aidan, her extended family, and all who knew her. We kindly ask those who may have had any distant connection or relation to the Molloy or Airlie families to join us in remembering and celebrating her life.
