Micheál Doyle, Clonmucker, Kenagh, Longford

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family and carers in Teach Solas, Longford on Sunday, May 26, 2024 of Micheál Doyle, Clonmucker, Kenagh, Longford. He is reunited with his recently deceased dad Micko (Michael) Doyle and and his brothers Anthony and Martin who died in infancy. Micheál will be forever missed and always remembered by his family, mother Mary, brothers Frank, Joseph and Brendan, sisters-in-law Angela, Patricia and Liz, nephew Ryan, nieces Shauna, Amy, Rebecca and Leah, uncles Oliver and JP, aunts Josephine, Bridie, Cecilia and Perpetua, cousins, neighbours and dear friends.

You were always someone special, Someone kind and true, Who will never be forgotten, For we thought the world of you. Rest in Peace Micheál.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church St, Longford N39 KN66 on Tuesday, May 28 from6pm concluding with prayers at8pm. Removal from his brother Frank and sister-in-law Angela's home on Wednesday, May 29 to arrive to St Mary's Church, Moydow for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Following Mass, Micheál will be laid to rest in the family plot in Moydow Cemetery.

Micheál's family would like to express their gratitude to all who cared for him, the Staff of Teach Solas and St Christopher's Longford, Doctors, Nurses and Carers of Mullingar Regional Hospital, Tullamore Regional Hospital and Tallaght Hospital, the Staff of the Dialysis's Unit Tullamore, his local Doctor and Nurse, the staff of Mydoc Longford, the Ambulance Services and the Taxi Drivers, to you all a big thank you.

Peter (Oliver) Bohan, Cloonellan, Drumlish, Longford

The death occurred unexpectedly on Thursday, May 23, 2024 of Peter (Oliver) Bohan, Cloonellan, Drumlish, Longford. Beloved husband of Maura and dear father to Antoinette and Caroline. Predeceased by his parents, Annie and Cornelius. His brothers James and Corney. Peter (Oliver) will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken family, his daughters' partners, Micho and Dara, his sister Annamae Cosgrove, brother John, brother-in-law James, sister-in-law Joan, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Aidan Smith, Loughill, Kenagh, Longford

The death occurred peacefully after an illness courageously and bravely borne, in the loving care of the nurses and wonderful and kind staff of Roscommon Hospice to whom we are highly indebted on Saturday, May 25, 2024 of Aidan Smith, Loughill, Kenagh, Longford and formerly Headford Park, Kells, Co Meath. Reunited with his beloved mother Frances. Will be sadly missed by his cherished dad Peter, his heartbroken sisters Debra and Sinéad, his uncle Jimmy (Toronto), his aunt Sheila (Kells), his nieces Marina, Cora and Sophie, his cousin Anne, friends and neighbours. Rest in Peace.

Reposing in St Matthew's Church this Monday evening, May 27 from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, May 28 at 11am followed by burial in Shrule Cemetery. Aidan's family would like to thank Roscommon Hospice, Athlone Hospice, Longford Palliative Care Nurses, Beaumont Hospital and Dr Nuala and Dr Rogers. Eileen Concannon (née Tansey) Forgney, Moyvore, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home, after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 23, 2024 of Eileen Concannon (nee Tansey) Forgney, Moyvore, Longford and formerly Boyle Co. Roscommon. Predeceased by her beloved husband Mark, sister Maura, brothers Joe and Donal and her son-in-law Bernard. Sadly missed by her son Mark, daughters Maureen, Patricia, Theresa, Breege and Evelyn. Her grandchildren Charlie, Ian, Anthony, Breen, Jane, Michael, Daniel, Louisa, Tara, Niamh, Connor, Ellen and Joni. Great grandchildren Liam, Megan, Robyn, Sophia, Noah and Joleen. Sister-in-law Noreen Prendergast and brother-in-law James McCormack. Sons-in-law Charlie, Dave, Jeff, Ian and Bernard (deceased) nieces, nephews, relations and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing on Sunday evening, May 26 in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Forgney at 5pm until 7pm with prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, May 27 at 11am followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Carmel Ghee (née Dunne), Lisduff, Longford Town, Longford / Moylough, Galway

The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 of Carmel Ghee (née Dunne), Lisduff, Longford and formerly of Cooloo, Moylough, Co Galway. Predeceased by her parents John and Julia, brothers Sean, Patsy and Mick, sisters Kitty Monaghan and Maura Dunne and by her beloved husband Mick. Carmel will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, sons Tony and Robert, daughter-in-law Michelle (Shaw), sister Julie Furnival (Stoke-on-Trent), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road (N39 EC81) on Sunday, May 26 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Helen Hanley (née Morahan), Fisherstown, Clondra, Longford

The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 of Helen Hanley (née Morahan), Fisherstown, Clondra, Longford. Predeceased by her beloved husband Peter, sister Patricia and by her brothers Thomas and Roderick. Helen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Tracey and Michelle, sons Kevin and Peter, sons-in-law Brian and Marc, grandchildren Callie, Lauren, Blaise, Sonny, Brooke, Ryan and Lexi, nephew Matthew and his wife Sinead, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.

Patrick (Pat) Browne, Barleyhill, Kingscourt, Cavan / Arva, Cavan / Kingscourt, Meath

The death occurred peacefully at the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan on Saturday, May 25, 2024 of Patrick (Pat) Browne, Arva, Co Cavan and late of Barley Hill, Kingscourt, Co Cavan. Predeceased by his parents John and Annie Browne, his brothers Edward (Ned) and John (Johnny), and his sisters Annie, Bridey, and Philomena, as well as his nephew Terry Burns. Pat will be remembered lovingly by his sister Kathleen (Katie) Wickham, brothers-in-law Ted Coughlan and Richard Wickham and all his nieces, nephews relatives and friends. Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Hall Street, Kingscourt, Co Cavan (A82 R3W2) on Monday, May 27 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass in St Patrick and St Bridget’s Church, Meath Hill, on Tuesday, May 28 at 11am with burial afterwards in Kingscourt Cemetery.

Sr Julia Costello, DMJ Los Angeles and late of Newtowncashel, Co Longford

The death occurred peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 of Sr Julia Costello, DMJ , Los Angeles and late of Cleraun, Newtowncashel, Co Longford. Predeceased by her parents James and Nellie, brother Jimmy, sister Bridget (Scally) and infant sisters May and Julia. Deeply regretted by her sister Celine Chapman (Kenagh), nieces and nephews, cousins and friends and by the congregation of the Daughters of Mary and Joseph. May she rest in peace.

Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Tuesday, May 28 in the Mary and Joseph retreat Centre Chapel, Los Angeles with interment afterwards.

Cecilia Breslin (née McLoughlin) Birmingham and formerly of Kiltycreevagh, Longford

The death occurred peacefully in the exceptional care of St Joseph’s care home Coleshil, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 6, 2024 of Cecilia Breslin, (nee McLoughlin) Hall Green, Birmingham; and formerly of Kiltycreevagh, County Longford, Ireland. She will be sadly missed by her beloved daughters Cecilia and Margaret, sons Brendan and Arnold, daughters-in-law Maria and Anne, grandchildren, her brother Brendan and all of her extended family and friends. 

Cecilia will be received into Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Yardley Wood, Birmingham B13 0EU, at 6pm on June 4. Requiem Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Yardley Wood, Birmingham B13 0EU, at 10.30am on June 5.  https://www.ourladyoflourdesbirmingham.co.uk/

      Sheila Coleman, Cloonslanor, Strokestown, Roscommon

      The death occurred on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 of Sheila Coleman, Cloonslanor, Strokestown, Roscommon. Predeceased by her husband Alwyn. Formerly of Yorkshire, England. Sheila will be sadly missed by her sorrowing family, Janice, Wendy, Michael, Alison and all her extended family and friends.

      Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown, on Friday, May 31  from 6:30pm until 8pm. Removal on Saturday, June 1 to the Methodist Church, Battery Road, Longford, for funeral service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in Kilcooley Cemetery, Tulsk. At Rest.

      Catherine Cribbens (née Devine) Keston, Kent, England and Barrack Street, Granard, Longford

      The death occurred after a short illness on Friday, May 3, 2024 of Catherine Cribbens (nee Devine) Keston, Kent, England and formerly of Barrack Street, Granard Co. Longford. Predeceased by her husband Frank, son Timothy and sister Margaret Boyce. Sadly missed by her sons Nicholas, Jonathan and Simon, her brother James Devine, Mullingar and her sister Anne Donohoe, Creevey, Granard, her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
