The death occurred, suddenly at home, on Thursday, October 5, 2023 of Aidan McNally, Shannon Lodge, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim / formerly Lisbrack, Longford. Predeceased by his wife Breda, brother Rene, sister Irene. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving sons Conor (Dublin), Shane (Carrick-on-Shannon), daughters Paula (Scotland), Brenda (Carrick-on-Shannon), Joanne (Dublin), grandchildren Aisling, Niamh, Sinead, Zoe and Billy, great grandchildren Rian, Caoimhe, Oisin, Cillian and Aodhla, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, sister Patsy (Limerick), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and good friends. May He Rest in Peace.
Aidan will repose at his residence on Sunday, October 8 from 2pm until 5pm, followed by removal to St Mary’s Church, Carrick-on-Shannon arriving at 7pm. Matt Farrelly, Nutley Square, Donnybrook, Dublin / Cooleeny, Longford

The death occurred, in St Vincent’s University Hospital, surrounded by his family after a short illness, on Friday, October 6, 2023 of Matt Farrelly, Nutley Square, Donnybrook, Dublin / Cooleeny, Longford. Predeceased by his parents John and Patricia and by his brother Seán, Matt will be sadly missed and  remembered with love by his siblings, Mary, Ursula, Pat, Fintan, Catherine, Michael, brother-in-law Seán, sisters-in-law Ann and Riikka, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace. 
Reposing at J.P. Ward & Sons, Funeral Directors, Sandyford Village, (D18 C8P7) on Monday evening, October 9 from 5pm to 7pm, followed by removal to The Church of Ss. Columbanus and Gall, Milltown, Dublin 6, arriving for prayer service at 7.30pm. Pat Leonard, Donaghmede, Dublin / Longford

The death occurred, suddenly surrounded by his loving family at Beaumont Hospital, on Thursday, October 5, 2023 of Pat Leonard, Donaghmede, Dublin and formerly of Longford. Beloved husband of Kathleen and loving father to Eoin and Mark. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Emma, sisters Margaret, Ann, and Philo, sister-in-law Margaret, brothers-in-law Frank, Kevin and Willie, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. "May he Rest in Peace."
Reposing in his residence on Tuesday, October 10 from 6pm to 8pm. Removal to Holy Trinity Church, Donaghmede, for Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 11 at 10am, followed by burial in Balgriffin Cemetery Extension. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Ashlin Centre, Sheehan Unit. A donation box will be available in the church at the Funeral Mass.

The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of St. Catherine’s Ward, Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 of Joseph (Joe) McCarthy, Clondalkin and formerly of St Michael’s Terrace / Teffia Park, Co Longford and An Post / Telecom. Beloved father of Stephen and the late Christine and Joey and loving son of the late Angela and Ernest. Sadly missed by his loving son, daughter-in-law Emma, grandchildren Barry, Stephen, Glen, Nathan, Georgia and Lenni, great-grandson Kai, brother Ernie, sister-in-law Mary, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of all the staff at Roscommon Hospice surrounded by her family, on Thursday, October 5, 2023 of Mary Diffley (née Murray), Cagglekeenagh, Strokestown, Roscommon, formerly of Derryhanee, Tarmonbarry. Predeceased by her beloved husband Pat. Much loved mother of Patricia, Vincent and Mel. Mary will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughter-in-law Sandra, grandchildren Alison and Robert, brother Matt-Joe (USA), cousins, neighbours, relatives and friends. Rest In Peace.

Thomas Cullen, Drumbannow, Loughduff, Cavan

The death occurred, suddenly at his home, on Thursday, October 5, 2023 of Thomas Cullen, Drumbannow, Loughduff, Cavan. Predeceased recently by his loving wife Rosaleen (January 29, 2023) his brothers Andy, Pat and sister Bridget. Mayo. Predeceased by his beloved wife Veronica, granddaughter Sadbh, his sister Madeline and brother Leo. Cherished father of Jackie and Michael and proud grandfather of Kate, Finn and Loughlin. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing family, son-in-law Sean, daughter-in-law Sue, his much loved brother and sisters Tony, Catherine and Angela, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully, in the care of the staff at Portiuncula University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 of Walter Burke, Cloontuskert, Lanesboro, Co Roscommon and formerly of Cartron House, Ballinakill, Co Galway. Sadly missed by his loving wife Carmel, sons Blake Snr, David and Walter, daughters Geraldine and Rachel, grandchildren Blake Jnr, Cian and Orla, brother Blake (Birmingham), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, the loving staff of Inis Ree Nursing Home Ballyleague, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. Removal from his home in Cloontuskert on Saturday morning, October 7 at 10.30am arriving to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Ballyleague for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. The death occurred, peacefully, in her 96th year, in the loving care of the staff of the Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 of Úna Winifred Tierney (née Hennelly), formerly of of Brownsgrove, Tuam, Co. Galway and Rochestown, Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath. Predeceased by her husband Willie, brothers, Richard, Paddy, John, Joe and sister Mary. Sadly missed by her sons Paddy, Michael and Liam, daughters Mary, Nora, Kathleen and Breda, sons-in-law Mossy, Gerry and Milo, daughters-in-law Theresa, Natascha and Bernadine, sister Breege, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
