The death occurred peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, August 31, 2023 of Pat Devaney, Ballaghgowla, Coolamber, Edgeworthstown, Co Longford. 
Predeceased by his parents Tom and Annie, infant son Martin and infant sister Margaret. Pat will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his heartbroken family, his wife Mary, son Padraig, daughters Deirdre and Niamh, brother Owen, sisters Bella, Ann, Marie, Claire, Nuala and Susan, son-in-law Darren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and his many dear friends. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Rest in Peace Pat.
Reposing in Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home Chapel, Edgeworthstown, on Friday, September 1 from 4pm until 7pm, with prayers at 6.30pm. Removal from his home on Saturday, September 2 travelling via Lisryan on route, to St. Mary's Church, Boherquill, Eircode N91 YY07, for Requiem Mass at12 noon, followed with burial in St Fintan's Cemetery, Boherquill. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Longford Palliative Care Team c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member. Family home private please. 

Jennifer (Jenny) Cullen (née Russell), Lanna Aoibhinn , Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, on Thursday, August 31, 2023 of Jennifer (Jenny) Cullen (née Russell), Lanna Aoibhinn , Longford Town, Longford. Jennifer will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, husband Eddie, daughter Andrea (U.K.), son Anthony (Dunboyne) and Paul (U.K.), son-in-law Neil, daughter-in-law Rosemarie, grandchildren Adam, Niall, Darragh and Fodla, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) on Sunday, September 3 from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Monday, September 4 in St Mel’s Cathedral at 11am, followed by Cremation at Lakelands Crematorium at 2pm. The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, August 31, 2023 of Willie (Bob) Joyce, The Hollows, Farnagh, Longford Town, Longford, N39 X9X6. Predeceased by his sister Kelly Ann and by his grandfather John. Willie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, father Willie, mother Ellie, sisters Lisa, Maggie, Brittnay, Caitlin and Helena, nieces Mya-rose, Kelly Ann and Jessica, nephew Johnny, grandparents John and Mary, grandmother Ann, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. Patrick (Pat) Casey, Tallaght, Old Bawn, Dublin / Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff in Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold's Cross, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 of Patrick (Pat) Casey, Old Bawn, Tallaght and formerly of Battery Road, Longford. Beloved husband of the late Catherine and devoted and loving dad to Paul, Denise, Naomi, and Lyndsey; Pat will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his loving family, children, his adored grandchildren Seán, Zarah, Elyssa, Laura, Freya, Amelia, Isaac, Daisy and Sadie, daughters-in-law Joanne and Stefania, sons-in-law Darren and Shane, sister Mary, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, The Square, Tallaght (opp Tallaght Stadium) on Monday, September 4 from 4pm to 6pm. A service to celebrate Pat’s life will take place on Tuesday, September 5 at 2:30pm in the Chapel in Newlands Cross Crematorium followed by cremation.

The death occurred, peacefully, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 of Lily Gilchrist (née Kelly), Ferefad, Longford Town, Longford. Predeceased by her parents Martin and Nora, sisters Mai Arney and Tessie Emmett and by her beloved husband John. Lily will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, daughters Niamh Hallissy (Clane, Co.Kildare), Lorna Gilchrist (Carlow) and Sinead Gibson (Hillsborough, Co.Down), son John (Galway), daughter-in-law Geraldine, sons-in-law Michael, Seamus and Colin, sisters Nuala McKenna (Boyle) and Helen Horan (Boyle), brothers Pat (Boyle) and Joe (U.K.), grandchildren Caoilfhionn , Rossa, Lilianne and Noah, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Geraldine Dolan, Joanstown House, Rathowen, Westmeath / Oldcastle, Meath


The death occurred peacefully in Joanstown House, Rathowen on Thursday, August 31, 2023 of Geraldine Dolan of Rathowen, Co Westmeath and Oldcastle, Co Meath. Predeceased by her parents Maeve and Terence. Sadly missed by her sisters Mary, Maeve and Bernadette, brothers Terence, Patrick, Peter and Michael, her sister-in-law Mary, Bernadette’s partner Victor, her nieces and extended family and friends. Reposing at her sister’s residence on Iveragh Road, Whitehall, Dublin 9, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, September 1. Removal on Saturday morning, September 2 to St Brigid's Church, Oldcastle, Co Meath, for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery. The death occurred peacefully at Cavan General Hospital of Margaret Gaffney, Acres, Ballinagh, Co Cavan on August 23, 2023. Predeceased by her two brothers and five sisters. Sadly missed by Brendan, Ann, Andrew, and Lisa, McBreen, relatives, neighbours and many friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Finnegans Funeral Home and Crematorium Dublin, Road Cavan on Saturday evening, September 2 from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday, September 3 in St. Felims Church, Ballinagh at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death occurred at Mullingar Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 1, 2023 of Sheila Edwards (nee McNamee) Gubbs, Cloone, Co Leitrim and formerly of Drumkeeran, Cloone, Co Leitrim and Harrow, London.
Predeceased by her husband Peter and sister-in-law Kitty.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her brothers Liam (Maureen), Tommy (Breege), Joe, Denis (Teresa), sisters Gertie (Micheal) and Eileen (Seamus), Aunty Gertie, Claire and Matthew Edwards, nephews, nieces, her adored grandnephews and grandnieces, friend; Jimmy, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends. Sheila will repose at Smith's Funeral Home High Street, Ballinamore (Eircode N41 TD62) on Saturday, September 2  from 5.00pm – 8.00pm. Removal from her residence (N41 HD37) on Sunday afternoon, September 3 at 1pm to arrive at St Mary’s Church Cloone, Co Leitrim for funeral mass at 1.30pm followed by private cremation to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. The death occurred on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 of Robert Michael Cooney, Carpenterstown, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath.  Beloved youngest son of Patrick and Kathryn, partner of Alison and dear brother of Patrick and Jennifer. Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, partner, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandmother Valerie, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and his many, many friends. The death occurred peacefully at the residence of his daughter, Mary Ann, and his son-in-law Kieran, and in the loving care of his family on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 of Padraig McManus, Murhaun, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.
Predeceased by his much loved wife Patricia, his brother Don, and his parents Agatha and Frank. Padraig will be deeply missed by his children Anthony, Padraig Óg, John, Charles, Mary Ann and Andrea, his sons-in-law Kieran and Gerry, and his daughters-in-law Aoife and Evelyn, and also his sisters Laura, Stella and Angela. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, whom he adored, Ailbhe, Roisín, Caoimhe, Lauren, Searlait, Reiltín, Eála, Seoidín, Rian and Odhran. May the Light Of Heaven Guide You Home To Patricia.
Padraig will be reposing at his home in Murhaun, from 3pm to 7pm on Thursday, August 31, (N41 P978) with his removal to St Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo at 8pm. Funeral Mass for Padraig will be at 11am, on Friday, September 1 at St. Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo with burial afterwards in Drumshanbo New Cemetery.  Funeral Mass will be streamed live on https://www.churchtv.ie/drumshanbo/ and on Drumshanbo Parish Facebook Page.

John Nolan, Donore, Multyfarnham, Westmeath / Mayo


The death occurred, peacefully, in his 99th year in the company of his loving family and in the tender care of the staff at Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 of John Nolan - Donore, Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath and late of Ballyheeragh, Co Mayo. Predeceased by his beloved wife Philomena, son Michael, daughter Mary, granddaughter Lorraine and great-granddaughter Eirin.
John will be very sadly missed and always remembered by his children Kevin, Anne, Margaret, Seán, Geraldine, Denis and Angela, his dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brother Michael, sisters Nora (Tierney) and Anne (Casey), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Bridget Teresa McKeon (née Daly), Aughnacliffe, Co Longford


The death occurred on Thursday, August 3, 2023 of Bridget Teresa McKeon (née Daly), Chadwell Heath, Essex, late of Forest Gate, London and Manchester and formerly of Aughnacliffe, Co Longford.
Beloved wife of Francis (Frank). Devoted mother to Francis, Anthony and Paul. She will be sadly missed by her husband, sons, sister Philomena (Fox), sister-in-law Rose Reilly, her cherished grandchildren Keeleigh, Daniel and Holly, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and her many friends in London, Manchester and Co Longford. May she rest in peace.
Removal from Smith's Funeral Home, Granard (N39AX97) on Thursday evening, September 7 to St Colmcille’s Church, Aughnacliffe, Co Longford (N39K603) arriving at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, September 8 at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Gerry Dolan, Callanagh, Kilcogy, Cavan


The death occurred, suddenly and unexpectedly after a short illness in London, on Thursday, August 17, 2023 of Gerry Dolan, Callanagh, London and Callanagh, Kilcogy. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Bonnie, his brother Martin and his nephew Marty. Sadly missed by his heartbroken brothers Seamus (Josie), Declan, John (Cathy), sisters Ann (Martin), Brid, Margaret (John), his devoted nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins and special mention to his London colleagues and many friends at home and abroad. His giant presence will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
Reposing at A. Frank Funeral Home, Holborn office, 45 Lambs Conduit Street, WC1N 3NH, on Thursday August 31 from 2-7pm.
