The death occurred, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of St Joseph's Care Centre, Longford, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 of Margaret Culhane (nee Doran), Kilmoyle Lane, Killoe, Longford and formerly of Dublin. Margaret will be forever remembered by her family, husband Michael (Connie), son Jason, daughter Kerri, daughter-in-law Sherina, her adored grandchildren Hollie, Core, Tamzyn, Tania and Jayce, brothers and sister, brother-in-law and sisters--in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her dear friends especially Sharon and Rita. The death occurred, peacefully at Curragh Lawns nursing home, on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 of Francis (Francie) Geraghty, Liffey Terrace, Newbridge, Kildare and formerly of Aughnacliffe, Co Longford. Sadly missed by his loving sisters Rose, Dolly and Breda, brothers Matt and Des, brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. May Francie rest in peace.
Reposing at Glennons funeral home, 32 Main Street, Newbridge from 5pm on Sunday, March 5 with Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Friday, March 10 to arrive at St Conleth's Parish Church, Newbridge for requiem mass at 11am. The death occurred, peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar, on Monday, February 27, 2023 of Marie Dunne (Nee McKenna), Clonickilvant, Killucan, Co. Westmeath and formerly from Bawn, Drumlish, Co Longford. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Frank, and brother John Patsy. Sadly missed by her husband Seamus and son Gordon, sister Esther Tallon, twin brother Gerry, brother-in-law PJ, sister-in-law Margaret McKenna, daughter-in-law Sarah, grandchildren Aoife and Oisín, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and neighbours. The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of the wonderful staff at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar surrounded by her loving family and cared for 14 years by the caring and loving staff in Hopestown, Ballinea, on Monday, February 27, 2023 of Frances (Fran) Nulty, Ardandra, Legan, Longford.  Predeceased by her mother Kate, father James, sister Bernie and nephew Alan. Deeply regretted by her brothers Jimmy, Michael, Pat and Tom, her sisters Christine (Dunham), Kathleen (McCormack) and Teresa (Horan), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. Reposing in her sister's Christine's house Aughara, Carrickboy (N39 HN62) on Wednesday evening, March 1 from 3pm until 8pm. Funeral mass on Thursday, March 2 in St Mary's Church, Legan at 11am, followed by burial in Carrickedmond Cemetery.

Mary McCormack (née Killian), Mornine, Moydow, Longford

The death occurred, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, February 27, 2023 of Mary McCormack (nee Killian), Mornine, Moydow, Longford, aged 98 years. Predeceased by her husband John Joe. She will be forever missed by her loving daughter, son-in-law Marty Kenny, her three adored grandchildren Robbie, Jenny and Katie, brother Peadar, sister Sheila, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully, with her Mammy and Daddy by her side, at Cavan General Hospital under the kind and compassionate care of the Palliative Care team and the staff of the Paediatric Ward, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 of Rhona Rose McKiernan, Killyfana, Redhills, Cavan, age 6.
Beloved daughter of Sheila Reilly and Ross McKiernan, Rhona will be deeply mourned by her heartbroken parents, her brother Cillian, her grandparents Dympna Reilly & Barry Galligan, Mary & Gerry McKiernan, her aunts and uncles Rosaleen & Jim, Colin & Cora, Jennifer & Liam and William & Joyce, her cousins Sean, Tomás, Michaul and Iggy, her good friend Barry Coyle, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Removal on Friday morning, March 3 from Rhona's home, arriving at St Patrick's Church, Drumalee, Belturbet (H14CX74), for Mass of the Angels at 12 noon. Rhona’s family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care Rhona received from the Palliative Care team and the staff of the Paediatric Ward in Cavan General Hospital as well as the work of the dedicated teams in Crumlin Hospital, Temple St Hospital and St Luke’s. We are also very grateful for the overwhelming support we have received throughout Rhona’s illness.

The death occurred, peacefully at Galway University Hospital, on Sunday, February 26, 2023 of Jovita Marques, 36 Meadowbrook, Ballyleague, Co Roscommon and formerly of Madeira. She will be very sadly missed by her son Carlos, daughters Susana, Simone and Paula, their Dad Manuel, her sister Maria Gill, grandchildren Savio, Rayanne, Nicolle, Sarah, Laura, Rebecca and Lorenzo, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The death occurred, peacefully and surrounded by her loving family after a short illness under the watchful care of the staff in Tullamore general hospital, on Thursday, February 23, 2023 of Toni Kenny (nee Pistorius), Ballynaccargy, Co Westmeath and formerly of Empangeni, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Belfast and Dublin. Ann Cullen (nee Thorne), La Montagne, France and formerly Dublin Street and Deanscurragh, Longford

The death occurred of Ann Cullen (nee Thorne), La Montagne, France, daughter of the late William and Catherine Thorne Dublin Street and Deanscurragh, Longford. Ann died in Maulin's Centre Hospital La Montagne, France where she lived for over fifty years with her husband Terry.
She is survived by her husband Terry, formerly of Main St Longford, her brothers Mattie and Frank, relatives and friends.
A commemorative Mass will be held for Ann in St Mel's Cathedral on Sunday, March 12 at 10am.

Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy NÉE Wallace) England and late of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath / Louisburgh, Mayo

The death occurred, peacefully, on Friday, January 13, 2023 of Noreen (Nora) Josephine Atkinson (Landy née Wallace), Ruislip, Middlesex, England and formerly of New Kiltoom, Castlepollard, Co Westmeath and Louisburgh, Co Mayo. Beloved wife of Brian and the late Eamonn and dear mother of Paul and Louise. Noreen will be very sadly missed by her husband and family, son-in-law Gary, daughter-in-law Jackie, her cherished grandchildren Natasha, Heather, Aidan, Pearse and Christy, her brothers Anthony, Stephen and Tommy, sister Mary, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
