The death occurred, suddenly, on Sunday, January 22, 2023 of Sean Kenny, Sonnagh, Charlestown, Co Mayo and Lanesborough, Co Longford. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Bea, brother Marty. Sadly missed by his loving family, partner Bernie, brother Pat, sister-in-law Bernie, nephew Jack Luke, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace.
Sean will repose in the Horkan funeral home Charlestown (F12D393) on Wednesday evening, January 25 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Removal on Thursday morning, January 26 to St James's church Charlestown for funeral mass at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Ethnea Wye (née Comerford), Guildford, Surrey and formerly Park Rd, Longford Town, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, in Guildford, on Saturday, January 7, 2023 of Ethnea Wye (née Comerford), Guildford, Surrey and formerly Park Rd, Longford. Beloved wife of Andrew and loving mother of Laura, Eva and Alexandra. Sadly missed by her loving family, relatives and friends. R.I.P.
A celebration of Ethnea’s life will be held at Clandon Wood Nature Reserve and Natural Burial Ground West Clandon, Guildford GU4 7FN, at 1pm on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

The death occurred, peacefully at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown on Saturday, January 21, 2023 of Sr Mary Kerrane (Sr Frances), Convent of Mercy, Ballymahon, Longford. Predeceased by her parents Joe and Mary, sister Teresa, brother Fr. John, and nephew Paul. Deeply regretted by her sisters Eileen (Ham) and Sr Nancy, brother Joe, nieces Maria and Helen, nephew James, grandnieces Rebecca and Roisín, grandnephew Kieran, sister-in-law Monica, brother-in-law Eddie, Mercy community relatives, and friends. Rest in peace.
Reposing this Sunday, January 22 from 3pm to 5pm in Our Lady's Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown, N39 VR04. Funeral Mass on Monday, January 23 at 1pm in St Matthew's Church, Ballymahon. Burial will take place in the Convent Cemetery. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.

The death occurred, peacefully in the loving care of her family, the matron and staff of Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown, on Saturday, January 21, 2023 of Elizabeth (Betty) O'Neill (née Moore), Higginstown, Granard, Longford and formerly of Ballinamuck and Celbridge, Co Kildare. Predeceased by her parents Alice and William, her loving husband Frank, sisters Molly, Dympna, Anne and brother Laddie. Sadly missed by her sons Frances and Pauric, daughter Mary Farrell, Ardagh, grandchildren Mark, Kevin, Sinead, Alice, Niamh, Laura, Thomas and Joseph, sister Margaret Mason, Naas, brother Jimmy Moore, Celbridge, daughter-in-law Majella, son-in-law Joe. Mary Gerety (née Hanlon), Derrylough, Kenagh, Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, at her home, in the care of her loving family, on Friday, January 20, 2023 of Mary Gerety (née Hanlon), Derrylough, Kenagh, Longford. Predeceased by her husband Tommy, infant son John, and parents Joseph and Teresa (née Jones). Dearly loved mother of Máire Monaghan, Teresa McEnteggart, Padraig, Tom, Michelle Balili, Ailís Kehoe and Aidan. Forever missed by her children, her brothers Ciarán and Michael, sister-in-law Ena, sons-in-law Tommy, Eamonn, Artur and Pat, daughter-in-law Kathy, grandchildren Áine, Padraig, Bríd, Seán, Tara, Caitríona, Ciarán, Eimear, Aisling, Sinéad, Fionn, Laoise, Emma, Orla and Méabh, great-grandchildren Lauryn, Mark and Ellen, nieces, nephews, and wide circle of cousins, friends and neighbours. Eileen Rehill (née McNally), Lislea, Ballinalee, Co Longford


The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Mater Hospital, Dublin, on Thursday, January 19, 2023 of Eileen Rehill (nee McNally), Lislea, Ballinalee, Co Longford. Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, parents Maggie and Hugh, brother Mikey, sisters Mary, Vonnie and Kathleen. Eileen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Seamus, daughters Jacqueline and Joan, sister Josie (USA), daughter in law Geraldine, grandchildren - Laura, Liam, Martina, Jennifer, Gavin, Aaron & Jason, nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, relatives and neighbours. Gary Dolan, Bawn, Drumlish, Co Longford


The death occurred, suddenly, on Thursday, January 12, 2023 of Gary Dolan, Bawn, Drumlish, Co Longford. He is predeceased by his father Michael. Gary will always be loved and sadly missed, by his mother Liz, his beloved children Jamie-Lee and Breeanna and their mother Carrie, sisters Antoinette and Veronica and their partners David and Jp, Tricia, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rónán O'Reilly, Smear Hill, Aughnacliffe, Longford / Dublin


The death occurred, suddenly, at his home, on Thursday, January 19, 2023 of Rónán O'Reilly, Smear Hill, Aughnacliffe, Longford and formerly of Kincora Drive, Clontarf, Dublin. Beloved son of the late Harry O'Reilly. Rónán will be sadly missed and remembered by his mother Angela, his son Harry, his three sisters Niamh, Clíona and Deirdre, his brothers-in-law Gerry and Aidan, his nephews and nieces, Oran, Tiarnán, Fiach, Ciara and Seána, his grandnephews Culann and Ruadhán, his aunts, cousins and friends. The death occurred, peacefully in Autumn Lodge, St Joseph's Hospital, Longford, surrounded by his family, on Friday, January 20, 2023 of Vincent Mulligan (Snr), Canal View, Longford Town, Longford and formerly of Arva, Co Cavan. He is predeceased by his mother Bridget and sister Patsy. Vincent will be sadly missed by his family, wife Rose, sons Vincent (Jnr), daughters Julie, Caroline and Nicole, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends.

The death occurred, suddenly in Australia, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 of Marie Sheridan, Cornee, Mohill, Co. The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by her family and devoted friends, after an illness stoically borne, on Sunday, January 22 of Valerie Pakenham (née McNair Scott), at her beloved home Tullynally, Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath.
Dearly loved wife of Thomas, wonderful mother to Maria, Eliza, Ned and Fred, cherished mother-in-law to Bogislav, Alex, Sarah, Claire, and inspiring grandmother to Aidan, Ciarán, Samuel, Anselm, Matilda, Gabriel, Julia, Tom, Lyra, Sasha and Ferdy. She will be much missed by her adored brother Nigel, and her large extended family and many friends.

William (Willie) Lennon, Paddenstown, Ballynacargy, Westmeath
The death occurred, peacefully, at Thomond Lodge Nursing Home, Ballymahon on Friday, January 20, 2023 of William (Willie) Lennon,  Paddenstown, Ballynacargy, Co Westmeath.  Deeply regretted by his heartbroken sisters, Eileen and Teresa, nieces, grand-nieces, grand-nephew, neighbours and friends. Kathleen Neary (née Burke), Clooncullane, Strokestown, Roscommon / Elphin, Roscommon


The death occurred, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Roscommon, in her 86th year, on Saturday, January 21, 2023 of Kathleen Neary (nee Burke), Clooncullane, Strokestown / Elphin, Co Roscommon. 
Predeceased by her husband, Seán, parents John and Mary, brothers John Joe, Eamon, Peter and Michael and sister Teresa. Much loved mother of John, Elaine, Dermot, Coman and Brendan. Sadly missed by her sons, daughter, daughters-in-law Joan, Anne and Kelly, Brendan’s partner Jana, son-in-law Seán (Griffin), grandchildren David, Brian, Colm, Eoin, Eleanor and Catherine, siblings Dicky, Sr. Pauline, Bridie, Patsy, Pat, Eileen and Ann, brothers-in- law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. The death occurred, peacefully in the care of all the staff at Sligo University Hospital, in her 90th year, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, January 22, 2023 of  Mary (Maisie) Bosquette (nee Murray), Castlenode, Strokestown, Roscommon.
Predeceased by her beloved husband John, son Kieran and sister Margaret. Much loved mother of Mary, Helen, Joe, Gerry, Terry, Dominic, Anthony, Carmel, Barbara, Joan, Kenny and David. Maisie will be sadly missed by her sons, daughters, sons-in-law Dominic, Sherry, Frank, Dan and Tim, daughter-in-law Aislin, her adored grandchildren Keith, Laura, Sharon, Daniel, Joshua, Noah, Holly and Seanie, great-grandchildren Harper and Ayla, sisters Betty and Ronnie, brother John, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Michael Patrick Greene, Strokestown, Roscommon


The death occurred, peacefully, in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 of Michael Patrick Greene, of Birmingham, and formerly of Strokestown, Roscommon. Predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Anthony, Tommy, Johnny and sister Mary and wives Kitty and Maureen. Michael deeply regretted and remembered by his sisters Peggy and Nancy and brother-in-law Tom Fisher, and John Orahoe, daughter Pamela, son-in-law Lou sons Kieran and Adrian, daughter-in-laws, Helen and Caroline, grandchildren, Nicholas, Eleanor, Alexis, Talia, Francesca, Marijka, Lorna, Cairstine and Patric. Great grandchildren, Harry, Rory, Conor and Douglas. Also by his many nephews and nieces.
Requiem Mass on Friday, January 27 at 11:30 am at St Joseph's and Helen's Kings Norton, Birmingham, followed by cremation at Lodge Hill Crematorium, Selly Oak, Birmingham. May he rest in peace.
