Margo Magan (née Beckett), Killashee, Longford, N39 X5H2


The death occurred, surrounded by her family in the care of the Midland’s Regional Hospital, Mullingar and in her 95th year, on Friday, December 30, 2022 of Margo Magan (née Beckett), Killashee, Longford, N39 X5H2. Predeceased by her husband John, brother Desmond, sister Olga (Wain), daughters Sally (Campbell) and Patricia. Much loved mother to Sue (Brieva), Margie (Gervasoni), Mike, Mary (Ryan), Julie, Grace (Bouton), Catherine (Mooney), John, Dan and Barry, much loved grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, mother-in-law Margo will be missed by family, extended family, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace.
Reposing at her residence (N39 X5H2) on Sunday, January 1 from 4pm until 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Monday,  January 2 in St Patrick’s Church, Killashee at 12 noon, interment afterwards in Killashee Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be streamed live please click here

The death occurred, peacefully, in the loving care of all the staff at Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey, on Saturday, December 31, 2022 of John P. Dolan, Cloonslanor, Strokestown, Roscommon (Retired ESB). Predeceased by his beloved wife Eileen, his parents Paddy and Bridie, brother Buddy and sister Maura. Much loved father of Dermot, Allen, Johnny and Kevin. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing sons, daughters-in-law Róisín, Julie, Cathy and Kerry, grandchildren Darragh, Adam, Finn, Ryan, Patrick, Tomás, Emma, Katie, Anna and Kieran, sister Teresa, sister-in-law Mai, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at McHugh's Funeral Home, Strokestown, on Monday, January 2 from 5pm until 8pm. Removal to Strokestown Parish Church for Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 3 at 11am. The death occurred, peacefully, on Sunday, January 1, 2023 of Peter (Sonny) O'Reilly, Drumlogher, Bawnboy, Cavan. Predeceased by his brothers Hugh & Tom. He will be sadly missed by his wife Joan, his family Gene (Mary), Deirdre (Pat), Sharon (Kieran), Lorraine (Maurice), and his special, treasured daughter Celine, his brothers Jim, Ollie & Kevin, grandchildren Hannah, Keelan, Áine, Peadar, EllenRose, Patrick, Seán, Garvan, Lana & Cormac, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & friends. Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore, Co Leitrim N41 TD62 this Monday evening, January 2 from 4pm until 6pm. Removal from his home in Drumlogher on Tuesday morning, January 3 to arrive to St Mogue’s Church, Bawnboy, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. David Smyth, Cloonboney, Mohill, Leitrim / Marino, Dublin


The death occurred, in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of Sligo University Hospital and The North West Hospice after a short illness, on Saturday, December 31, 2022 of David Smyth of Cloonboney, Mohill, Co Leitrim and formerly of Marino, Dublin 3. Sadly, missed by his beloved wife Liana, his sons Daniel (Collette) & Alex (Gemma) and daughter Maria (Ian), his six grandchildren Dylan, James, Charlie, Kelly, Olivia & Harry, Sisters Elizabeth, Carmel & Anne, brothers Larry, Dermot, Paul & Peter, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. David’s Funeral Mass will take place in St Joseph’s Church Cloonturk on Monday, January 2 at 12 noon. Followed by private cremation. Predeceased by her husband Jack and daughters Rosemary and Theresa. Sadly missed by her sons Gerard and Joe and daughter Martina, sister Nanny Lyons, grand-daughter Melissa, grandsons Cian and Oisín, daughters-in-law Dearbhla and Geraldine, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. The death occurred, peacefully, at his home in the loving care of his wife and son, on Thursday, December 29, 2022 of Tony (Antony Michael) Brown, 13 Shannon Cove, Dromod, Co Leitrim and formerly Swindon and St Albans, UK. Predeceased by his daughter Emma and mother Hazel. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his heartbroken wife Karen and son Daniel, father Robert, sister Sarah and brother Chris ( All in UK), aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, wonderful neighbours and friends. Beloved husband of Ann and much-loved father of James, Peter, Paul and Emma, predeceased by his brother Sean; sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren Adam, Aoife, James, Áine, Dylan, Harry and Emily, sister Nellie son-in-law Joey, daughters-in-law Orla, Zelinda and Róisín, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The death occurred, suddenly, at his home in Luton, on Sunday, December 11, 2022 of Raymond (Ray) Creamer, Inkerman Street, Luton, Bedfordshire, UK, formerly of Lough Rynn and Treanmore, Mohill, Co Leitrim.
Ray was predeceased by his parents, John (Sonny) and Bridie and his sister Breege (Reilly). He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken daughters, Caroline, Sharon and Kelly and their Mother, Teresa, his adored grandchildren, Shannon, Declan, Dylan, Niamh, Shaun, Nathan, Lilly and Mollie, his brothers, Michael, Liam, Des, sister Betty, his sisters-in- law, Mary and Agnes and brother-in-law, Tommy, his nieces, nephews, extended family and his wide circle of friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Michael Patrick Greene, Strokestown, Roscommon


The death occurred, peacefully, in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 of Michael Patrick Greene, of Birmingham, and formerly of Strokestown, Roscommon. Predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Anthony, Tommy, Johnny and sister Mary and wives Kitty and Maureen. Michael deeply regretted and remembered by his sisters Peggy and Nancy and brother-in-law Tom Fisher, and John Orahoe, daughter Pamela, son-in-law Lou sons Kieran and Adrian, daughter-in-laws, Helen and Caroline, grandchildren, Nicholas, Eleanor, Alexis, Talia, Francesca, Marijka, Lorna, Cairstine and Patric. Great grandchildren, Harry, Rory, Conor and Douglas. Also by his many nephews and nieces.
Requiem Mass on Friday, January 27 at 11:30 am at St Joseph's and Helen's Kings Norton, Birmingham, followed by cremation at Lodge Hill Crematorium, Selly Oak, Birmingham. May he rest in peace.
