Owners of Freshtoday, Richie and Ray Nangle.
Freshtoday has been awarded the coveted Q Mark accreditation for Hygiene and Food Safety in business excellence - the standard that reviews all aspects of a company’s performance and commitment to hygiene and food safety on an annual basis.
The Q Mark for Hygiene and Food Safety is aligned to the latest Irish, European and International standards. It is recognised by the FSAI (Food Safety Authority of Ireland) and SafeFood. The standard has been endorsed by the EOQ (European Organisation for Quality).
Commencing from humble beginnings in 2010 and serving just two schools,Freshtoday now employs more than 70 staff between Longford and Dublin catering for over 18,000 students every day from their new purpose built facility.
Freshtoday now has over 110 schools that deliver to fourteen counties in Dublin-Midlands-Northwest & Northeast of Ireland from their 12,000 sq ft Longford production facility.
Owners Richie and Ray Nangle engaged Reda Ginaite two years ago to head up the company’s Quality and Compliance.
Reda has been meticulous with her own weekly audits in all aspects of food safety and hygiene and working together with Operations Manager Martin O’Brien, was instrumental in us achieving this accolade.
The importance of consistently providing healthy, nutritious lunches every day to schools across the country has seen Freshtoday’s market share significantly increase year on year.
