Enterprise Ireland-backed Scopey Onsite has closed a pre-seed round led by SFC Capital to accelerate its chat-based, agentic AI platform that structures on-site updates into time-stamped, traceable evidence suitable for commercial and contractual review. It is for use by anyone in the construction industry.

Investors for the pre-seed are SFC Capital and Enterprise Ireland.

The use of the funds will be used for complete construction-specific workflows and scale rollout in Australia, the UK and Ireland. Scopey Onsite is designed to reduce time and risk, allowing construction teams to correctly capture site events fast, reduce disputes caused by incomplete information and prepare substantiation with confidence. Crews capture events on site and in real-time, and office teams get structured, easily searchable evidence.

Donnchadh Cullinan, Head of Enterprise Solutions at Enterprise Ireland said: “Scopey Onsite is a standout example of how Irish‑based innovators are redefining workflows in complex global industries. By transforming everyday texting habits into structured, ISO‑aligned site evidence, their platform removes friction where commercial risk is highest. As the company accelerates its rollout across Ireland, the UK and Australia, Enterprise Ireland is proud to back a founding team bringing construction‑ready AI to markets that urgently need it.”

The company recently appointed Mark Kehoe as Board Advisor. Mark is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with qualifications in construction law and extensive experience across Ireland, Europe and Australia. His appointment marks a significant step for Scopey Onsite, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to defensible documentation and commercially robust project records. Mark’s expertise in claims, disputes, and evidentiary standards directly aligns with the risks contractors face when project events are poorly captured or substantiation is challenged.

Co-founder of Scopey, Jenna Farrell, came to chat with the 'Longford Leader' about Scopey's progress as it is attracting attention:

“At the moment, we’re still building the product alongside construction companies. We’re putting it on-site, seeing if it’s working well. We’re getting good feedback which is promising. The goal is to expand more in Ireland, UK, Australia and the US.

“It’s been really interesting. A lot of companies are reaching out to us. A lot want to bring AI into the business and are unsure how. A lot of research is showing that companies are investing money into AI but not seeing the returns. What they like about Scopey is that you can use it straight away with no training.

“My background is User Experience. We had to look into human behaviour. They don’t want to use another tool but are already using WhatsApp. It is a smart way to use AI. AI should be making our lives easier, and that is how we interact with software.
“I’ve been able to start this business from Longford. Lots of great support here. It all began with co:worx and the local Enterprise Office. It has scaled to this and it all started here.”
