One of south Longford’s most popular businesses is rumoured to have closed its doors for the last time.

One of south Longford’s most popular businesses is rumoured to have closed its doors for the last time.

Flynn’s Bakery, located along Ballymahon’s Main Street, ended its long running association with the busy market town only recently, the Leader understands.

Inisights into the closure remain decidedly sketchy this week as efforts to obtain contact with senior management of the firm proved unsuccessful.

The announcement however will no doubt come as a blow to the local economy and in a town which, in the past, has played host to both the McNamee and Lovell bakery establishments.
