Ballymahon could become the main focus of fresh inward investment to the county, a meeting was told this week.

Cllr Barney Steele said it was time council chiefs started looking at possible locations to secure investment for the town.
He pointed to a five to six acre site just outside Ballymahon town, claiming its proximity to nearby Athlone made it ideal for possible inward investment purposes.
