One midland hotel is tapping into the recent immigration levels by using the latest technology to assist overseas couples plan their big day back at home.
The Sheraton Hotel, Athlone recently hosted its first ever ‘live’ Wedding Show Case on the Hotel’s website, allowing couples in all parts of the world to log on and see a wedding plan with style.

Sheraton Athlone Hotel held its summer wedding showcase on Sunday July 1 last and on the day couples had the opportunity to see the Magnificent Hoey Suite fully set in Wedding Style. They were also afforded the opportunity to meet with the management team and discuss their wedding plans, while 30 very lucky couples received their first Wedding Gift from Sheraton Athlone.
During the live feed over 60 couples logged in to view the event, many of whom were described as “international viewers”. Anna Connaughton, Wedding Coordinator, Sheraton Athlone Hotel said, “Due to emigration we have seen a large volume of enquiries coming from overseas, where couples want to come home and get married with their family and friends.
