The official opening of the new Garden Centre and Florist in Ballymahon was a virtual hive of activity on Saturday May 4 as Derek Healy and Mary Lennon McArdle welcomed a throng of people to their new Garden Centre and Florist which is located between Colgan’s butchers and Jade Pot Chinese Restaurant.

Ballymahon Councillor, Pat O’Toole was on hand to cut the ribbon and declare the Florist and Garden Centre officially open. He congratulated Mary and Derek for their foresight in opening in the centre of town and wishes them every success with their venture.

Derek showed those in attendance the extensive yard and glasshouse filled with Bedding Plants, Pots, Perennials, Climbers, Shrubs, Trees, Hedging, Compost, Fertilisers and the A to Z of garden sundries, and advised them that they had something to meet the need of everyone with green fingers be it casual or serious.

He concluded by stating that with over 20 years between them in the business, customers could be sure of getting a professional, friendly service and Mary and himself were looking forward to attracting new customers and lots of repeat business.
